That's smart, and many players do this. There are other methods, too - some people just look at the center of the screen. It really depends on what works for you.So I picked up SFV the other day because I wanted a Traditional Fighting Game to learn from.
I've found decent success in (okay, not decent but more) purely watching the opponent and not my character. Does anybody else do this?
I'll tottally ignore my character on the screen, besides spacing my moves. Mentality behind this is that I know what my character is doing because I'm controlling her (Cammy).
For real, though, I think using traditional fighters to learn neutral is a pretty good idea since it helps with player mentality. Why? I'm not tryna go to tournaments necessarily. Just learn some things.
It's a bit easier in traditional fighters to keep eyes on the opponent since the stage is easier to keep track of, and there's no ledges or platforms. That's smart, and many players do this. As you said it just is.....it's why mkleo loses to Ryu. Because Ryu as a character plays on his playstyle and habits which this game teaches and reinforces. But why should it? The game favors neutral resets, and that isn't a good or bad thing...it just is.
Here, it was a Windbox that killed (because God knows windboxes are as janky as the sky is supposed to be blue).https://twitter.com/PrivateQuantum/status/832118017127497728
Why are single hits of multihits in this game so stupid?

It is? I just started and i wasn't aware. The Season 2 patch meta shake up might make it a bit awkward because people aren't sure about some characters yet.Not to stray too much from Smash but why is it a bad time to get into SFV?
I mean, only 3 of them really get any relevant placings. This much rep and we still don't care about Yoshi? I don't get it at all.
It's always a bad time to get into SFV.Not to stray too much from Smash but why is it a bad time to get into SFV?
What's wrong with the game though? I usually see complaints about buffs/nerfs and how it's not like SF4 or other iterations in the SF series. The game seems fine to meHe was ragging on the game itself. If E-sports is your thing and you want to live off being a fighting game player then you NEED to be playing SFV.
I think that might have something to do with the intangibility during Lucas's up smash.

Overall over half had made it so far. The ones out of the remaining half that are most likely to not attend would be Hyuga (Depends on if he's still banned or not) and Mew2King (Who doesn't appear to care about Smash 4 anymore and probably won't attend).
Also, Mr. E got sponsored: http://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/18700116/team-rival-signs-smash-4-marth-player-mre
EDIT: As I Was writing this, Tweek announced his registration, go figure. He's team ZeRo.
Why wouldn't?I haven't watched ZeRo's video yet because I'm in college but why would you ever choose Greninja as your counterpick character, seriously.
Greninja is a specialist character. It's not something you can really "secondary" successfully if even the top, dedicated Greninjas don't do much on a consistent basis. Why wouldn't?
Most of them aren't No-Shows, just people who aren't confirmed to be there yet. We've still got almost a month until we know who the actual no-shows are. That's a bit of a heartbreaking list of no-shows. I shouldn't be too surprised about Ken, Nietono and Earth not making it but compounding the lack of Salem, ESAM, 6WX and Saj is a bit sad.
Maybe Greninja himself doesn't work as a solo high main, or maybe the Greninja players just aren't all that good (relative to the tiptop of players.)Greninja is a specialist character. Did I miss something or since when did any of the miis see any sort of use? I thought the new movesets for them were still in theory craft stage. If not, good for them. Now let's see a Mii swordsman cause I think they may be worse than Jigglypuff.8BitMan 3 - 2 Sonix
Kodystri 3-0 Vapor
Zage 3-2 Flama
IDK about Kodystri's Gunner but Flama is The Mii Gunner player, and he uses 1111.Did I miss something or since when did any of the miis see any sort of use? Both Gunner players were using 1111 Gunner. Flama is one of the best Mii Gunner mains in the world while Kodystri/Xanos has a secondary Gunner.Did I miss something or since when did any of the miis see any sort of use? I've personally never even heard of a successful greninja pocket or secondary. typically the succesful greninjas are the ones that pretty much solo main or main with a secondary. Speaking of, who are all the notable greninja's again? istudying, Darkaura, Venia, Stroder (strozai) are the ones that come off the top of my head.Greninja is a specialist character.
