Even though it has never been officially used in such a context; is never heard outside of remakes and rereleases; and isn't even the first level or title theme, I've always seen the Band Land (Harmony) theme as just "the Rayman theme song", like how SMB1's overworld is "the Mario theme song" or RBY's intro and title theme is "the Pokémon theme song".

While I'm happy Banjo got in Smash, it's always weird to see people say he was the "most deserving DLC" given he's likely the most obscure playable third party in Smash history.

I don't get the outrage behind the McCree name change - like, yeah, of course it's not gonna change anything or pave the way for a better future, but that's really not the intent - just a small thing to make people more comfortable. Frankly ActiBlizz acknowledging the controversy at all is a (very small) step in the right direction.

Changing Toadstool to Peach was easy to get used to so this should be too, especially with a story arc revolving around it. The only reason people even debate Eggbotnik is because "Dr. Eggman" is an objectively stupid name for a threatening villain, even if we're desensitised to it now. Unless they rename McCree "SandwichGuy" or "PastaDude" there's not much to worry about

To me, Toad in Smash feels a bit like a "completionism for the sake of completionism" pick. He could have a good moveset, but he isn't really inherently interesting from a moveset level - unlike say, Daisy (from for a pre-Ultimate speculation standpoint) where she would both complete a trio with only the first and third most important present, and provide a unique sports moveset.

Watching through Rocko nowadays is super fun because you can point out concepts, names, and jokes that were later reused for SpongeBob or Phineas & Ferb. The episode where Spunky has fleas has that P&F intertwined plot structure down to a T, 16 years early.

People tend to confuse "good game" with "important game".

It is extremely unfair to say Mario 64 singlehandedly created open 3D platformers when not only were Croc and Bubsy 3D in development at the same time, but Jumping Flash came out earier. Mario 64 may be better than Croc, Bubsy, and Robbit's adventures combined - but it is not any more revolutionary or significant.

It's kinda funny how the stages in Nick Brawl - a game where a majority of the characters are just regular people who live in regular cities with slightly weirdly-shaped houses at most - has more aesthetic variety in its stages than Smash.

If you don't get it, Churchill is a British insurance mascot (we love our insurance mascots over here for some reason) who's catchphrase is "Oh yes!", the Captain Falcons are just there so you're constantly hearing "Yes!" during the battle
