It's weird how Nintendo removes the timer from their live streams during the only portion where you actually need the timer - like, not an hour away but also not 10 seconds away.

It's weird to look back on how controversial a Smash pick Pac-Man once was. Of all the third parties who have ever gotten in Smash, Pac-Man is the only one there's literally no downsides to including on paper.
- Sonic's reputation was taking a hit during Brawl's times (and even Melee's to a lesser extent)
- Snake contrasts the world of Smash a little too much and has controversial themes to his games
- Mega Man is only really popular in locations where the NES was popular
- Ryu (and the other FGC characters) run the risk of being too technical
- Cloud and Sephiroth could isolate the console war Ninty fanboys of the 90s
- Bayonetta
- Simon and Richter's ties to real religion and historic literature could be out of place
- Joker comes from a highly controversial and arguably overexposed game with an extremely polarising tone and aesthetic
- Hero has a weird history in localisation that would make it pretty hard for Smash-spawned Western fans to seek out earlier titles.
- Banjo has a notoriously hungry yet picky fanbase who may expect any future Xbox Banio outings to get ported to Switch based on a Smash cameo
- Steve could isolate older fans and has a creator with a history of very unkind remarks to say the least.

The funny thing about Barnyard is that the franchise is generally really well-liked in every regard except for the movie - but because the movie was its debut, that's how a majority of people view it. Can you imagine if Toy Story was utter doodoo but the SNES game and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command show were considered top class by everyone who looked past the source material to experience them? It's so surreal

While I enjoy the Sega cameos in Banana Mania, I personally would've made it the ultimate monkey crossover, the Smash Bros. of simians if you will. We'd have Donkey, Diddy, and Dixie; Magilla Gorilla; Boots; Curious George; Abu, King Louie and Rafiki; Mr. Teeny; Paul Frank; Mojo Jojo, I.R. Babboon and Dial M for Monkey - basically every fictional, stylised monkey you can name.

The Rapper Mario leak was disconfirmed before we even dug it up. Why are people talking about this?
If Shredder's Revenge ends up being a hit, it'd be awesome for the devs to follow it up with a Bmup game based on a more comical Nick property like how Konami followed up TMNT with Simpsons. Such a game would probably be SpongeBob, but Rocko would be a great fit as you've got the light guy (Rocko), the heavy guy (Heffer) and the guy who's a little in between. (Filbert)

Pixar are the only animation studio who consistantly make good celebrity casting choices - well, other than Onward at least.
They really should've upped the durability on Minecraft World's blocks like... a lot. I generally play 4 minute battles with stage morph at the 2 minute mark, and usually most of a Minecraft World battle is spent on the bare battleground.

Nintendo made a duo of characters who drive a car as their job, have a significant enough size gap they could share a seat, are known speed freaks, love to explore surreal terrain, and have partaken in a drag race in canon - and they refuse to put them in their wacky kart racing game that takes place in the same universe?
I can understand why people want Pauline in Smash, even if she feels overwhelmingly like a New Release Bandwagon Pick, but I don't think it's really fair to say Pauline is some super important character just for appearing in the first instalment - especially for a series that has changed over the decades to the point of being unrecognisable. She's really no more important to Mario - if not less - than Koala Kong is to Crash.
I would happily trade Bowser's Fury for a Dream Friends-esque expanded character roster in SM3DW.
I'm fine with Nick Brawl having a 90s-dominant roster. The Nickelodeon brand (or at the very least its prescence in animation and, irrelevantly, game shows) is inherently tied to the 90s, and always will be - even long after the 90s kids have passed on. Of course more 2000s and even 2010s characters would be great (love me some Jimmy Nutrin) but it's not worth complaining about a "boomer roster" in a cartoon-focused game based on a brand adults know for cartoons and kids know for sitcoms.
If Illumination are really insistant on recasting Martinet like a lot of people say, they NEED to have Danny DeVito voice Wario if he's in the movie. They've already worked with Danny on the Lorax, they should be able to get him back for a character equally as iconic if not more so.
Cinematic Parallels
Byleth fans coming up with new theories as to what bizzaro alternate universes (that don't involve removing previous FE characters) would prevent their character from disappointing people.
Jellystone has exposed me to the fact a devoted Hanna Barbera fandom, most of them people who weren't even alive when HB closed in 2001, even exists - and that makes me really happy. HB cartoons and their slow-yet-frantic pace aren't my style, but I can't deny there's some great concepts in their shows, they were masters of character design, and the studio has a fascinating history.
As reluctant as I am to praise this series, or more specifically its creator, for anything after what happened earlier this year, I think FNAF really unleashed a positive Pandora's Box for the next generation when it comes to preservation. Scott did his research on the CEC and Showbiz lore, incorporated it into FNAF, and that encouraged the Zoomer age to research these previously niche topics and not only birth a new age for the Chuck E. and Rockafire fandoms, but also create a fascination about the past's entertainment as a whole that will benefit everybody.
Chris Chan, to me, is the perfect example of the consequences of retribution. Punish a perpetrator and you've created a victim, turn a perpetrator into a victim and you've given them an excuse, give a perpetrator an excuse and they'll only get worse - this can apply whether you're looking at Christine's side of the story or the trolls'. All things considered the trolls' actions aren't much different from the current day concept of law enforcement, even in its most socially acceptable forms - take a person and ruin their life for revenge giddyness, justifying it by shifting the talk to their actions and not yours. Christine's violent comic books and tales of Mary Lee Walsh also aren't too far off from how real crime TV shows will ignore the perpetrator's side of the story and act confrontational or threatening with no true intent of helping them change, just locking them behind bars.

The Blue Shell would unironically be an amazing Smash fighter - you don't even need to give it hammerspace: spikes and wings - while indeed traits other fighters have - are barely used in Smash fighters' movesets. Let it extend and merge its spikes, give it the ability to retract its wings, combine that with its known traits of locking on and exploding and you've got a perfect template right there.
A lot of Smash characters were added due to requests from their creators - I wonder what would happen if a game dev or CEO with connections to Sakurai (specifically one who isn't repped in Smash already) asked for a character they didn't create or own? Like if Toby Fox said "don't put in a Sans costume, put in a Kumatora costume instead" during his visit to Sakurai's for example. Would Sakurai/Nintendo try to persuade (or even blackmail) them into allowing their own character? Would they completely ignore the request? Would they openly say that the character/costume was chosen by that person when they get in?
