Spirit Battle ideas

Spirits Mode was announced for Smash Ultimate, as you may or may not know. This game mode in my mind, is absolutely genius, and looks really fun.

So with that, I feel we should think of some Spirits Battles for our own. For example:

Opponent: Marth
Primary Spirit: Sephiroth
Effect of said Spirit: Multiply attack power by 2.
Rules: Final Destination is the stage used.
Opponent can only be killed by a Final Smash.
Final Smash meter on.
Items off.
(Reference to final battle against Sephiroth, since Cloud’s Final Smash is Omnislash, I thought I’d do something similar.)

Opponent: Pokemon Trainer (Ivysaur)
Primary Spirit: Spider Mastermind (DOOM)
Effect of said spirit: Start battle with Super Scope.
Rules: Platforms are electrified.
Stage used is Norfair.
Stage Hazards off.
Final Smash meter off.
(Reference to Spider Mastermind Battle from Doom 2016.)

So what do you guys think? What do you guys have for Spirits Battle ideas?

YES! I love the idea of Spirits! Unlike trophies, they are a most delectable way to make hundreds of obscure and well-known characters alike directly involved in battles and the storyline. Like they are all with us....in SPIRIT. It's so neat that you can have the spirit of someone like Alexandra Roivas from Eternal Darkness battle with you. That being said, allow me to present some tasty ideas of my very own!

Spirit: Mr. Bright and Mr. Shine (Kirby series)
Opponent: Kirby (orange alt) and Kirby (yellow alt)
Stage: Fountain of Dreams
Rules: The screen will darken randomly throughout the match. The orange Kirby will have its attack raised when the stage is visible, whilst the yellow Kirby will have its attack raised when the screen goes dark.
Origin: Mr. Bright and Mr. Shine would alternate their arena between day and night, with either one using more powerful attacks during their respective lighting conditions.

Spirit: King Hippo (Punch-Out!! series)
Opponent: King K. Rool (dark orange alt)
Stage: Boxing Ring (omega)
Rules: Stamina battle, King K. Rool is giant, heavy, and only uses his side smash attack. Food items randomly spawn, and the opponent tends to go after them.
Origin: King Hippo only uses boxing gloves in battle, is large compared to Little Mac, and is easily distracted by food.

Spirit: Lion (Codename S.T.E.A.M. series)
Opponent: Incineroar (red-purple alt)
Stage: New Donk City Hall (hazardless)
Rules: Fog effect is active, the opponent has increased jumping ability and is equipped with a Rage Blaster.
Origin: Lion is a red, humanoid cat that wields a gun. His special ability allows him to leap far distances, and the stage choice brings to mind the dreary atmosphere of Buckingham Palace.

Rules: Lava Floor. Items are Lighting, Freezies, and Fire Flowers
Origin: Mages are Female. The items represent Plasma, Ice, and Fire.

Spirit: Varis (YGO Vrains)
Opponent: Red Duck hunt
Stage: Duck hunt (Duh.)
Rules: Opponent Starts out with a Ray Gun
Origin: His Deck contains "Rokkets". Since Rokkets are gun based. The NES Zapper is a Light Gun.

Spirit: Rarity (MLP)
Opponent: White Peach and Giant Ridley
Stage: Skyloft (Omega)
Rules: The Peach will Dodge.
Origin: Ridley = Spikezilla

Spirit: Rex (The Lego Movie)
Opponent: Blue Wolf and Blue Yoshi
Stage: Balloon Fight
Rules: Stamina.
Origin: Rex is a Dino Tamer

Spirit: Shotaro (AKIRA)
Opponent: Red Wario
Stage: Midgar
Rules: Stamina. Opponent uses Side B.
Origin: Both characters ride a bike.

Other: Dedede uses his hammer a lot and grabs a lot too.
Origin: this is a reference to the execution FMVs of the Danganronpa series where Monokuma hits the bell on the machine with a small hammer, and a pixel art sequence shows wherein Monokuma grabs the student to be executed and drags them away.

Spirit: Guzzlord
Opponent: Kirby (Meta Knight colors)
Stage: Reset Bomb Forest (Hazards Off)
Rules: Nothing Special
Opponent behavior:
Kirby is doubled in size and will prioritize Inhale over everything else, and will go to devour every itemthat spawns. If Kirby uses Inhale on the opponent while over 100%, they will be instantly KO’d.

Spirit: Enderman (Minecraft)
Opponent: Mewtwo (Inverted colors)
Stage: Gaur Plains (Night time.)
Rules: Nothing special.
Opponent behavior: Mewtwo will only walk, and prioritizes Side tilt. The most important thing to point out is that Mewtwo will use Teleport just as he’s about to be hit by a projectile.

Spirit: Poppibuster (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)
Opponents: King K. Rool (Metal) and Villager (Female Blue).
Stage: Frigate Orpheon
Rules: Nothing special
Opponent behavior: K. Rool is doubled in size while Villager is halved in size. King K. Rool will primarily do the fighting, with Villager equipped with a hammer. At one point, K. Rool will equip the Bomber item and use it, but it will instantly KO him. After K. Rool is KO’d, the Villager’s Hammer will disappear, and will be left open. If Villager isn’t KO’d in time, K. Rool will respawn, and Villager will regain her Hammer until K. Rool is defeated again.

I want to be able to loadout spirit combinations onto amiibos so I can have that specific challenge active in multiplayer. I'm not sure if the amiibos have that capability.

Opponent: Snake
Stage: Shadow Moses
Rules: Invisibility enabled for Snake and he starts the match with a Super scope equipped.
Music: Escaping Containment
Opponent Behavior: Snake will move around the stage to try and attack you from behind. He is equipped with a super scope.

Spirit: Yukari Yakumo (Touhou Project)
Opponent: Rosalina
Stage: Reset Bomb Forest (after bomb goes off)
Rules: Rosalina is lighter and can jump higher. She is also equipped with an X Bomb.
Music: Necrofantasia
Opponent Behavior: Rosalina will focus a lot of projectile attacks while bouncing around the arena like a balloon. She will use the Luma, Star bits, and a X bomb to attack from a distance.

Stage: Fourside (Battlefield)
Rules: The Simon Belmont likes to use Side Smash Attacks.
Origin: Villager = Peni Parker, Sheik = Gwen Stacy, Pichu = Spider-Ham

SPIRIT: Deckard Cain (Diablo)
Spirit Type: Primary Defense (Legend Class)
Spirit Effect: Sleep Aura: Occasionally, you will temporarily gain an aura that causes all nearby opponents to fall asleep.
Opponents: Robin and Clear Jigglypuff
Stage: Dracula’s Castle
How the Battle Goes: Robin is accompanied by a Clear Jigglypuff, who is always invincible, but can only use Sing. Jigglypuff can only use it every time Robin uses a Taunt, which he uses often. Robin never goes faster than Walk Speed and will only attack when you are asleep. Defeat Robin to win.

SPIRIT: Chie Satonaka (Persona 4)
Spirit Type: Primary Attack Spirit (Ace Class. Can be enhanced to become Chie Satonaka and Tomoe)
Spirit Effect: Kick Attack Up.
Opponents: Zero Suit Samus and Palutena
Stage: Boxing Ring
How the Battle Goes: Zero Suit Samus mainly fights, and Palutena is clear for most of the time. When ZSS attacks, there is a chance that Palutena will appear and follow up with an attack of her own before disappearing again. If Palutena is hit enough times, she will be temporarily disabled. While she’s clear, Palutena will be invincible. Occasionally, meat healing items will spawn, which ZSS will immediately focus on and head towards. Defeat Zero Suit Samus to win the match.

Opponent: Orange recolour of either King K Rool or Kirby (haven't really made up my mind but prolly K Rool (would've gone for orange Incineroar for if Incineroar had any similar abilities to Blinx whatsoever)
Stage: Battlefield New Pork City
Music: Time Square HQ. But if that couldn't be in for whatever reason, Mob Smash
How the Battle Goes: 1 Stock battle. The enemy prefers to use their neutral B. Timers appear frequently, and the opponent is easily distracted by them.
(not expecting this one to happen in ten billion lightyears lol)

Spirit: Globox (Rayman)
Spirit Type: Support (Takes up two slots, novice)
Spirit Effect: Raises weight
Opponent: Giant Greninja
Stage: Battlefield Great Cave Offensive
Music: Sunset Heights
How the Battle Goes: Sukapon Assist Trophy shows up just like in Rayman's battle, but Greninja's AI sucks and has low stamina.

RULES: Defeat the main fighter to win~Earthquakes will suddenly occur~Hordes of Dalmatian Duck Hunts will assist the opponent.
AI BEHAVIOUR: Ness will frequently trip and back down from battle. The Duck Hunt CPUs tend to do most of the work for him. Beastballs & Soccer Balls will also appear at common intervals.

OPPONENT: Yoshi + 6 Mii Gunners in the special forces outfit
STAGE: Tomodachi Life
MUSIC: Yoshi's Story
HOW THE BATTLE GOES: Yoshi will run away from the Mii Gunners, and you only need to defeat Yoshi to win.

Reference: Baldi is an instant kill, Pictochat 2 looks the most like a classroom.

Stage: Town and City
Music: Trainer Battle! (Sun and Moon)
Battle: Incineroar is huge while the Kirbies are tiny. Incineroar is near-invincible at the start of the match, but gets weaker with each Kirby knocked out. Defeat Incineroar to win.
Note: The Kirbies reference Meltan, Melmetal’s pre-evolution, and the fact that Incineroar gets weaker with each Kirby is a reference to how Meltan can merge together to become Melmetal.

Origin: The Food represent the Newalone. The Higher the Newalone, the more powerful your Attacks are!

Spirit: Vile V (Megaman X8) (Advanced)
Opponent::ultbowserjr:Iggy
Stage: Dr. Wily's Castle
Rules: The Enemy is Equipped with a Rocket Belt.
Origin: Vile V always has a Jetpack with him and he rides a Ride Armor.

SPIRIT: Zasalamel (Soul Calibur)
Spirit Type: Ace Support Spirit
Effect: Start the battle with Death’s Scythe
Opponent: White-robe Robin
Stage: Arena Ferox Omega
Battle: A one-on-one stamina battle against a Robin with Death’s Scythe equipped. When Robin charges his Final Smash, you will go under a Stopwatch Effect until Robin uses it. Knockback is doubled in this battle. Defeat Robin to win.
Note: The Final Smash and stopwatch are a reference to Zasalamel’s SC6 Critical Edge, where he freezes time. The battle in general is a reference to how Soul Calibur works, with the traditional Smash Bros KO’s being similar to Ring Outs.

Opponent: :ulttoonlink: in Blue
Stage: Dracula's Castle Omega
Rules: Stamina (You have 120 while Toon Link has 10.) The Floor is Poisoned. Hostile Assist Trophy (Nikki, Vince, or the Color TV Game 15) will always appear. Toon Link tends to avoid Conflict.
Origin: Toon Link accurately represents sans very well in terms of Size. The Poison Floor is Karma. While the 3 Assist Trophies do stuff for Sans's Attacks

Spirit: Puyos (Puyo Puyo) (Novice)
Opponent: Tiny :ultkirby: in Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue. (4 Each)
Stage: Gaur Plain Omega
Rules: No Rules whatsoever.
Origin: Self Explanitory

Spirit: Hikaru and Akane (Parodius) (Advanced)
Opponent: :ultpeach:in Blue & :ultdaisy:in Red
Stage: Lylat Cruise
Rules: The Only items are Bullet Bills and some Boomerangs are Tossed in for the Enemies to pick up.
Origin: These two Ride Rockets (which look like bullet bills) and the Boomerang is also one of their weapons.

Spirit: Dr. Venom (Gradius) (Ace)
Opponent: :ultdoc: in Green
Stage: Halberd (Battlefield)
Rules: Timed Stamina Battle. (You have 120 while Dr. Mario has 500) Dr Mario can't move. Zap Floor. Hostile Assist Trophy (Mother Brain) will appear
Origin: The Mother Brain Fits it and the Halberd also represents every final stage in Gradius.

Spirit Type: Ace Support Spirit
Effect: Start the battle with Death’s Scythe
Opponent: White-robe Robin
Stage: Arena Ferox Omega
Battle: A one-on-one stamina battle against a Robin with Death’s Scythe equipped. When Robin charges his Final Smash, you will go under a Stopwatch Effect until Robin uses it. Knockback is doubled in this battle. Defeat Robin to win.
Note: The Final Smash and stopwatch are a reference to Zasalamel’s SC6 Critical Edge, where he freezes time. The battle in general is a reference to how Soul Calibur works, with the traditional Smash Bros KO’s being similar to Ring Outs.

I have a couple of ideas but not too good at finalizing them.

Spirit: Lora (Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna the Golden Country.)
Opponents: :ultzss:(White Color),:ultmetaknight:(Gold Color),:ultpalutena:(Green Color)
Stage: Either Gaur Plain or Reset Bomb Forest.
Rules: I'm not sure myself


Spirit: The Snatcher (A Hat in Time)
Opponents: Giant :ultkirby:(Meta-Knight Color), Invisible :ultrichter:(Purple Color)x3
Stage: Either Luigi's Mansion, Dracula's Castle or Reset Bomb Forest
Rules: 1. The Richters like to use Holy Water.
2. Stamina Battle (Kirby 200 HP, Richter's 50HP each), (You: 120HP + spirit bonuses)

Rules: Stamina Battle. The Enemy will have a Sudden Final Smash. ZSS has a Beam Sword. Zelda heals over time. Kirby always uses his Neutral Special.
Origin: :ultzss:,:ultkirby:, :ultkingdedede:,:ultsheik:, and :ultzelda: totally represent the Members, Zero, Axl, Massimo, Marino, and Cinnamon respectively. The Sudden FS is reference to the Hyper Mode.

Spirit: Gunter (Galaxy Fight) (Advanced)
Opponent: :ultbowser:(Green)
Stage: Kongo Jungle Omega?
Rules: Low Jumping Height and Stamina. Bowser favors Grabs and Throws.
Origin: Accurate Representation of the Game.
