While I generally don't want any more swordies in Smash unless we get some major cuts next game, I think a jousting fighter would be really unique.

Thinking more about Get it Together I'm starting to see the playable characters less as a homogeneized gamestyle and more another gimmicky control scheme a la touch controls, tilt controls, motion controls, so on, which is a way better way to view it IMO.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kazuya came with a Mappy, Vaklyrie and/or Taizo Hori Mii costume.

We're so desensitised to the shocking violence in Smash trailers that they can show Min Min, Pit, and Ganondorf's rotting corpses and we'll think nothing of it.
This Direct seemed very Monkey's Paw to me, glad I wasn't awake for it.

I'm not that confident in WW:GIT. A WarioWare with a consistent playstyle just defeats the point to me. We'll have to wait and see.

There was never a "big 4" or "unbreakable team" of Smash requests. Not everyone who wanted Ridley also wanted K. Rool, not everyone who wanted K. Rool also wanted Banjo, not everyone who wanted Banjo also wants Geno. Outside of some surface level similarities between K. Rool & Banjo and K. Rool & Ridley there is absolutely nothing tying these characters together beyond "they were on Nintendo consoles in the 90s and don't appear much nowadays" and no reason one can't join without the others.
I'm seeing everyone talk about leaks, but I'm not seeing any actual leaks.

For some reason a lot of entitled gamers, platformer fans especially, are under the misconception that nobody (other than racist 12 year olds) likes gritty brown shooters, or the developers making them don't care... like, no. That's not how it works.
There's plenty of genres I don't like but I would never accuse an entire genre of being disingeneous cash-grabs. We haven't had a homogeneity problem in games since the PS3 days.
Honestly, I'd prefer my favourite series to die on a high note than be handed to people who either don't care about them or don't get the magic.

Everyone talks about how heavy and radical the leftist political themes of Mother 3 are, but let's not forget that Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland is about how capitalism is slavery. It's not subtle or even an allegory of any kind, the plot of the game is literally just "capitalism is slavery."

Reminder in the midst of E3 hype: game companies owe you a quality product, nothing more, nothing less. Microsoft does not owe you Banjo-Threeie, Nintendo does not owe you F-Zero DX, Sony does not owe you Jak and Daxter 5, and frankly if they did, the aforementioned series would be worse off for it. Nobody wants to make or play a game solely produced out of obligation.
DuckTales Remastered really overused the Moon theme, I'm pretty sure a majority of the new tracks in the game used some sort of Moon theme motif.
IMO the most glaring Spirit ommision isn't Porky or the Broodals or Adeleine, but rather Buzzy Beetle.
Why wouldn't you have a Spirit for Buzzy Beetle? What possible reason is there to not include it, and what possible way is there that they could forget it?

I don't see why a decloned Daisy and Waluigi in Smash are treated as "mutually exclusive" - give Daisy the sports and give Waluigi the weirdness, they could easily coexist.
