  • Hey Mic, I made a request to become a Tournament Director. You think I can become one... soon? =P please, Mr. Super Swaterator ?
'Clearly Azua has a "Closing inappropriate threads" fetish.'

That may have been the funniest post I've read in a month.
Well, based on the letters LGBT stand for, 3/4's of it is unconventional sexual "preference" (in quotes because it's not a choice), right? I'd be very happy if I were allowed to have such a thread where people merely talked about other things, but with a title that made it obvious what sets the members who post there apart so they then could talk about it privately if they so choose, as the LGBT thread is.
im currently wonder how to assume the position of smash debator? it is realy appreciated if you are able to send me some kinda
link or a description on how to achieve that status
Hello again. Just wondering again about my the problem with my account (did the admins in the Staffer Shack find anything?).
Sorry to bother you but do you mind accepting my Tournament Directors request It's been a week since I applied. Don't know if thats long or not but the smash debater didn't take as long.
.....strange. I thought I sent this to most mods...

For some reason, I'm no longer receiving e-mail notification of suscribed threads (even though it is set as such). It has been like this for a few weeks now.

    Can you help?
Hey, sorry. But I'm in need of a question/favor. Can you plz give me a list of some of the best Ikes on this site.

    Thanx in advance.=)
heh, I see that what your location says is true, "closing topics makes you hate Melee more" due to the stupidity topics seen on the Melee board I assume
Aww that sucks. But some of the stuff that the melee boards has gotten away with in the past week or so is ridiculous.
Not sure if you are following the SBR Balancing Project, but the thread at the moment is filled with negative debate on whether it shud b done rather than fulfilling its purpose of finding ppl to help.

Long story short... permission to start a thread for the debate side of this subject, to free up the actual thread for ppl who are actually helping with the project?
You closed some guys Halloween thread, clearly you favor other holidays over Halloween , Halloween hater!
I forgot to post here earlier, but yeah. >.< Sorry about the mistake. You seem to be omnipotent, so I thought you would know what was up. There is one lesson from my paranoia, though, which is that this whole deal made the forum operations LOOK questionable to public observers. So I'm glad that by whatever forces at work here, the list appears to be coming back soon. Thanks to you if you contributed, or to whoever did.
why would you give a 2 point spam warning to me. Not one person who replied to that thread found it as spam. It's brawl scrub moderators like you who are eventually going to close down the Melee section for good. What a childish thing to do.
Come on, it's a legitimate question for a moderator. Avoiding it does not answer it. If you insist, http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=165954
And the problem is NOT that the list disappeared. It's that, as I have reiterated ad nauseam on deaf ears, Ankoku as a poster was unduly pressured by a high-ranking member of the community, and as a result, free speech was compromised in some fashion. I may be the lowest of the low here and no great shakes competitively, but this concerns forum rules in general. Isn't a forum by definition supposed to be democratic in the sense that all ideas are heard according to public interest, not by the preferences of some aristocracy in the SBR? Whether or not having Meta Knight at the top of a rankings list by wins is harmful to the metagame, Ankoku should have been able to decide this for himself by listening to the will of the majority. If this is what you (the SBR) wanted, you should have been able to convince the community of this yourself through a public essay post with discussion, letting Ankoku know that no pressure was being implied for him to take the list down. As for the current situation, the only way to right the wrong is to convince Ankoku to put the list back up since he only took it down because of the SBR, and then proceed with an announcement as to what transpired and a public discussion as to whether the list should stay up or come down. Otherwise, Smashboards loses some of its credibility because the moderators are not merely moderating but directing what people should and should not know.
(If only people were more poetic in general...) But ya ya, I can stop the fancy overflow, but you still don't answer my question: Doesn't this Ankoku Brawl ranking list deal make the site look less credible since free speech of a relevant and important topic is being hindered?
Hmm... there seem to be two possibilities here: one, the emperor actually couldn't decipher slightly higher than normal IQ prose, which is unlikely, or two, he chooses to ignore the question, which begs it even stronger. And good aristocrat Choknater seems to feel the urge to reassure him by calling me dumb while not explaining why, once again begging the question even stronger. Of course I don't imply Nazism, but any trace of its trappings (i. e., pressure on Ankoku to "choose" of his "complete free will") would seem to hurt the site's image, would it not?
