People think the Kiki/Bouba linguistic study means something. In reality I went to every kid in the world and told them what Kiki and bouba means and that’s why they answered the same. So far my deception has worked.

Anyway, Mufasa and Sonic 3 are - once you put aside subjectives - literally the same thing. Photorealistic films adapted from animated properties, they are part of the same trend/problem, and if anything Sonic 3 is more a remake than Mufasa is. Sonic gains nothing practical from beating out Mufasa, and vice versa, TLK will go on, Sonic will go on, and - even if Sonic was an original story or even IP - the IP/remake boom will go on - not that they're even really that comparable outside of context and production (though this is far from "SpongeBob vs. TLOU2"). I think a lot of Sonic fans must have this paranoid notion that the series could die at any time, despite the fact that your average joe shmoe generally likes Sonic and will happily play a game or watch a movie with him in it - the 06 "irreversible bad reputation" is practically exclusively limited to teens and young adults on internet gaming circles.
