I have mentally combined parts of Astral Chain and Control in my mind.

It's because they both have an Astral Plane that is somewhat blocky

Also I cannot stop thinking about both games, they are really good with glaring problems.

There are these 2 albums I remember buying on Itunes way back in the day called "The Greatest Video Game Music" they were london philharmonic arrangements of the "best" game music

They made a 3rd one that was Choral but I never had this one

The choices are very much stuck in 2011 (Why the hell is Advent Rising here???) but a lot of the choices are pretty based, like the Mass Effect 2 Suicide Mission, Invincible from World Of Warcraft, Fate of the Unknown from Kingdom Hearts and a song from Enemy Zero

Part of me wants to do a big poll to determine what the 20 "best" video game songs are via popularity on an obscure forum.

Went to a Smash local for the first time in a long time. Considering how the only controller I had access to was a single Joy-con on its side I did way better than I thought I would (I only got second to last place instead of dead last) I played Sora, Terry and Palutena pretty much the whole time.

But it really increased the appetite for a new Smash for me. I am ready to go on Sakurai's wild ride yet again

Plants Vs. Zombies has such a weird cultural legacy looking at it.

First game basically created a new genre of Tower Defense games, it was well beloved, EA got a hold of it, made a bunch of mobile games, vaguely capitalizing on that gameplay (many of them were exclusive to China), made a bunch of third person shooters that had no right being as good as they were, and are still truckin' and still is a beloved series that is simultaneously more and less obscure than you think.

Every once in a while people rediscover Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax

Genuinely one of my favorite crossover fighter rosters, You can have Akira Yuki and Holo from Spice and Wolf beat up Taiga from Toradora and Celty from Durarara on Green Hill Zone and Bellbridge from NiGHTS. I just wish the Assists were playable.

About the new Donkey Kong design, currently I have no strong feelings on the design one way or another, I am used to the Rare design overall, but I can definitely get used to the new one.

Not my theory but I think it is an interesting thought, I could see them using the Rare design for Donkey Kong Country specifically and the new design for Mario games specifically. Sort of like Wario's Biker Outfit, how that is used specifically for WarioWare, but whenever he appears in a Mario game, it's the overalls.

Damn my local GameStop is shutting down, Shocked it took this long, no one ever went in there after they made the switch to Funko City.

I find it so funny that there is a sizable group of people, where after the Switch 2 leaks and rumors have started to say stuff like "Nintendo has lost the narrative for the Switch 2, they have to announce it in a few days or risk more leaks, and those leaks will show how it isn't as powerful as they want us to think it is"

Like, we haven't even seen any games, we still know nothing about the console. (it probably wouldn't have been able to run every game at 4k 60fps anyways, I truly don't know why you expected that. The chip size would not change much in that regard)

Astro Bot is so ****ing good, It even reminds me of what I loved about World Of Light in Ultimate, the whole "What character will appear next and how deep will they go for characters" aspect.
