When I was a young kid I watched a show called Ni Hao Kai-Lan about some Chinese girl and her animal friends (that got compared to Dora the Explorer a lot for some reason even though they have barely any similarities beyond "preschool show about girl from non-American culture is friends with talking animals"). And there was some special where there were like these two groups of animals that hated each other built a wall so they wouldn't have to talk and Kai-Lan became a princess to help appease these racial tensions or something. And I was ****ing hyped for this special as a kid, this was like the biggest event ever for me, but when I actually went to watch it I immediately got too nervous about what would happen in it to continue watching.
