I think that a "nobody" indie rep would be really cool in Smash but I don't want to subject an indie dev to the sudden amount of attention a Smash character would give. Especially if this character is marketed like all of the other characters are.

I wonder if the extreme changes in Brawl was the reason that so many people stuck with Melee and by extension is why it has such a big competitive scene compared to the other past Smash games today. If Brawl was just a regular-styled Smash game, even if a more casual one, would Melee have got the popularity?

This is kind of a weird origin for this meme cause it's like the exact opposite of what happened.
I think it's really funny whenever I see someone saying "I'm glad this guy embraced his meme status" when the original version of the meme was obviously intended to be comedic from the start.
"I want shorter games with worse graphics" mfs when a new AAA video game isn't that long and has kinda mediocre graphics.
I kinda miss the "crossover weirdness" a lot of crossovers used to have. Like, nowadays it all feels like giants mashing together all of the things they own or all of the things they use their enormous amounts of money to get the rights to instead of some random company just scrapping together what they have. I want more Dreammix TV World Fighterses.
Smash Bros (minus Brawl) is technically the only actual Smash Killer if by "Smash" you mean the previous game in the series.
I'd be more okay with mobile game ads if they just let you click the X and didn't do that whole thing where you watch the video, click the X, and then it bring up an app store popup, then it shows the app icon with yet another timed X button, and then you can finally close the ad.

I usually just go to the profile posts here but wow the XL ads are 1000x worse in the actual threads.
I think if it was to go in a COGH direction, Smash should add characters that were at least somewhat popular in their debut but not popular today. Not even just the recent ones, I'm talking about like the ones from every console generation as a way to show off what all of the gaming landscape was like throughout the ages instead of just the greatest hits.

What if after the next Smash game gets released Smash Ultimate got updated to add that game's fighters? It won't happen for various reasons from marketing to development but it's interesting to think about.
