I watched SCOOB! on my PHONE?!?
I don't really like the higher amount of detailed textures in MK8D BCP#2.
"Dead game" trolling is pretty funny because like, if you manage to succeed in pissing people off with it, you've basically proven for a fact the game is alive.
This dumb meme video made me realise: I feel an IP showcase crossover movie could really work well as one thing: a shot-for-shot parody kinda like those weird Pooh's Adventures videos that everyone memed on back in '16 - just on a professional budget instead of existing clips with muted subtitles. Like, if Disney remade A New Hope in animation with an all-star cast of the characters they own - swap Luke for Bart; swap Vader for Scar; swap Yoda for Miss. Piggy - with the only change to the fundamental script being characters' personalities in their dialogue. It'd be bat-**** crazy, but a good type of bat-**** crazy that's still got a good plot beneath the gimmick.
I kinda want to have a go at "de-designing" some recent Smash characters to be less like source material ports and more like "functions", but the problem is that the only three post-Brawl characters I'd consider myself qualified to make a moveset for, Rool; DH; and the Pacster, all have movesets I feel are well designed and not too gimmicky or pandering.
It's weird, "I'm a Hugh Neutron main" or "I'm a LeBron James main" doesn't register as a weird sentence to me, but "I'm a Batman main" just breaks my mind.

Nick Brawl is made for people who say "platform fighter", Multiversus is made for people who say "Smash variant".
I was just discussing this with a friend on Discord: I feel a Pokémon game without a plot (beyond "become the champion") would be really cool. Like, there'd be a story to get through, but the stakes are entirely sports-focused with no villains or prophecies or what have you.

While I totally understand being disappointed by no -immies, and agree that they're weird exclusions (even if I don't care too much if they show up or not), it's kinda funny to see fans of the 00s Nicktoons games complain about how major shows "wouldn't have been left out" if NASB was made around '06 when the THQ games were pretty laser-focused on shows that were still airing; in recent memory; or selling merchandise at the time, with the only real exception being Toybots, which was still focused on 2000s shows and only featured playable 90s characters on the console version. They absolutely would've left out hugely influential shows like Ren & Stimpy and Hey Arnold in a THQ NASB circa 2006, or at the very least only had 2 or 3 "retro" picks - and those shows were younger then than shows like Jimmy Neutron and FOP are now.

Fidough is a wonderfully corny pun, even for a franchise with names like "Octillery" and "Incineroar". It sounds more like a parody Pokémon name than a real one, and I'm all for it.

I feel a common misconception about NASB is that it's trying to be "a serious esport" - which is technically true in the sense that it does want to be a competitive game people play with complete sincerity, but what often gets missed is that NASB wants to be a funny eSport - one that incorporates the silly elements of casual play into competitive while still emphasising skill and deemphasising luck. I'd compare it more to Brawl Minus than Project M. The signature Nicktoon silliness is systemic to the game rather than specific to the characters like in MVS or flippable on-and-off like in Smash.
I'm watching an AVGN YouTube Poop and it's so surreal to see a YTP turn "condom" into "condiments" instead of vice versa.
Something I've just realised about the COGH debate is that a lot of people may interpret "celebration of gaming" as "the most popular game heroes", in the sense of having characters like Dante; Shantae; Crash; or most of Smash's 1P cast who aren't that influential in the grand scheme of things but have really big and devoted fandoms, rather than "the most important game heroes"; in the sense of focusing on revolutionary genre- or even industry-changing games even if they may not really have fleshed out characters or worlds to be attached to; - like The Sims; Pong; Need for Speed; or Tetris - have had a hit in public reputation since release; - like CoD; Fortnite; Angry Birds; or Warcraft - or share little overlap with Smash's fandom - like pretty much any 1P Sony or non-acquired Microsoft IP.
If you choose to view it as the prior I guess I can see why SSBU would be considered satisfactory in being a "gaming history celebration", but I'd personally prefer the latter.

While I find LeBron in MVS really funny, I do overall think that they should've added the Monstars or Lola instead (preferably the prior) to represent Space Jam
While either Heck or the elders' cruise from Cruisin' is my ideal Rocko stage for NASB, I feel a stage based on the episode Rocko's Happy Sack would fit really well given 1. Rocko is a show that satirises consumerism often, making a supermarket a good locale to represent it; and 2. that episode is the one where Rocko is pushed to his most agressive.
