Honestly, I've kinda been growing to hate the idea of Crash in Smash - his moveset would likely be based on Crash 3, where his moves don't even make a consistent playstyle there; COD or Warcraft objectively deserve the spot way more; people will use him to dismiss the concept of true Sony reps like they have with Sora and Joker; and his comedy would be toned down super hard if Banjo's anything to go by.
Nabbit deserved the push Rosalina got in the 2010s more.
NASB's Space Madness stage is literally near-unplayable with items on high.
I'm really surprised that, from what I can find, nobody has made a composite Pokémon mod that combines content and elements from both versions.
It will always make me laugh when an amoger's visor is portrayed as a single eye with a pupil.

Reminder that the toxicity in Smash speculation is 100% Sakurai and Nintendo's fault for building up character additions as a bigger deal than they are.
Is it weird for me to say that I never realised people liked Smash specifically for the crossover element and not the gameplay or movesets until the NASB backlash? Like I always knew characters were a big deal, but I never realised how small a deal game design is to people relative to characters and how they're portrayed
Certainly explains the questionable design choices in SSBU's DLC at least.
I actually really like the, for a lack of a fair and objective term, "finish it later" approach - feels to me like a natural evolution to unlockables for the age of spoilers and leaks, even if that isn't the intent BTS.
I generally think protag first is a good rule for games where characters are cosmetic, with the only real exceptions being to prevent aesthetic clash (for example Riki over Shulk in a hypothetical Nintendo Kart)
That being said, while both would appreciated, if they can only have one Thornberrys rep in Nick Kart 3, it should be Nigel and not Eliza - he's by far way more remembered and popular, and to a much bigger extent than the usual "more popular side character" dynamic.
Objectively I feel streaming is superior to TV in almost every way, but god I do kinda wish there was still that grab bag of turning on the TV without checking the schedule.

This song does not fit the context it's made for whatsoever (a title screen where [REDACTED] stands outside her house on a sunny day, looks at birds, and occasionally performs tricks) - but it's the exact type of music I'd imagine to fit the experience of being trapped in IP ownership hell.
Felt like making a custom NASB menu/CSS background - specifically for Corniel and Bernie, two characters who's show (Watch My Chops! AKA Corniel and Bernie) aired as an import show on the American Nicktoons network in the 2000s, but were a pretty big deal here in the UK where they aired on CBBC at prime after-school hours. I went with them partially because of how specific they are to the UK while also having Nick ties, but also because their show's aesthetic is REALLY cool.

My main prediction for NASB's DLC is that one of the packs will be Jimmy, Timmy, and a second FOP rep. It feels too perfect to me - Jimmy and Timmy are associated with one another thanks to their own crossovers and the Unite games, the DLC packs come in 3, there's already a second (first?) JN rep to put the shows on equal terms, FOP has one of the biggest and most varied casts in any Nick show (to the point where you could easily make a devoted platform fighter for it) - but then again this could just be a wacky Smash pattern theory with no merit.
Either way, I do think Timmy is coming. If they can afford to get Jim Cummings and Tom Kenny doing voices they can almost certainly get the international distribution rights to fairy boy.
I dunno why people were shocked Minions did well with an older, childless demographic - like
- Sequel to a movie from 7 years ago, and features characters who debuted 12 years ago
- A franchise stereotyped as being enjoyed by middle aged to elderly women
- A concept inherently tied to dark humour
- A 1970s period piece

I don't know if this was made for the trailer or something that already exists in Smite, but I like how Zeus' coffee mug in the Nicktoons trailer says "hey, Zeus!" in reference to the Spanish pronunciation of Jesus. Feels like the sort of censor-pushing joke they would've had in one of the Heck episodes of Rocko.
So, is SMSB the first creation thread not already themed around original content to have an OC creation round for its main roster? I know there were a few OC jobs on Infinite, but not for playable fighters.
I don't think Nick crossovers after NASB getting a higher budget is a sign that Nick have favouritism and moreso that they didn't realise the value of things like VA and unique costumes until the NASB backlash.
Fun fact: as much as clapping in a cinema is a taboo in the UK.

The weather & time feature in SMSB means people in that universe know what the Cap Kingdom looks like at daytime... that's certainly something, and somehow more out there than the idea of Nintendo canonising the Mario movie; Super Show; Project M; and Tetris & Dr. Mario siamese twins commercial in a game combined -
