I had a dream where I was going to a protest against transphobia - not like a transphobic government or corporation, just the general concept of transphobia - my protest sign said "men can get pregnant too!" and to go along with it I made a dog fursuit with an advanced mechanism to shoot eggs out its ass.

The name "the Penguins of Madagascar" really annoys me because it exclusively makes sense outside of the movie universe - like, if you didn't know about the Madagascar movies it'd be so weird that a cartoon about Arctic animals in a New York zoo claims its protagonists come from Madagascar.

Sonic Origins not including Chaotix or the GG games because they're "not the original story" is kinda why I find distinguishing "main games" from "side games" silly for series that don't focus on story. That and that it can often lead to characters getting the short end of the stick because they're assigned as a "spin off character".

I feel part of the reason kid-styled horror characters like Huggy Wuggy and Cartoon Cat gain so much traction with actual kids is because you don't really get many played-straight kids' mascots in the veins of Chuck E. Cheese or Mr. Potato Head anymore in Western media, and those that remain have undergone (figuratively and literally) radical redesigns since their debut, so the horror characters are really the closest you can get to that sickly-sweet-but-distinctly-American aesthetic and personality in a modern character.

Can't really explain how Siren Head got popular with kids though. That one's baffling.

Honestly I kinda wish NASB had a more unified musical style instead of trying to replicate the shows style for most stages - more specifically the sort of slightly-techno 16-bit-adjacent synth rock style the generic and Turtles music has. I really like the cohesion every character sharing a victory theme gives the wild and juxtaposition-heavy roster, and I feel a shared music style would've given NASB a bit of a "classic licensed game" flare where it feels almost like a gamified version of the show(s) instead of a game based on them.

I've been playing Fall Guys, and honestly I think it does the whole "no skill gap" thing way better than Nintendo's first party releases do - there's literally no mechanics, let alone deep ones, it's equivalent to a literal children's party game and I love it.

Honestly I can't really wrap my head around why Tetromino isn't playable in Smash yet. They've had Tetris content since Brawl and it's a "character" who would please both old-school "celebration of Nintendo" fans and newer "celebration of gaming" fans. Feels weird that they don't want to go a step further with Tetris content, especially with Sakurai's weird obsession with game sales.
