Grassroots tournaments are the lifeblood of the Smash scene and among the best of them is Tipped Off 11. As the name implies this series has hosted ten tournaments previously which is a testament to the quality of the event. Set to take place in Atlanta, Georgia it will feature Smash 4, Melee, and Project M alongside their special Mushroom Kingdom II only side event returning this year to raise funds for charity. The Smash 4 Collegiate and The Melee Games will be making appearances as well to watch some of the best college Smashers duke it out. Omni is back yet again with a vlog! Many people know Omni for some of the vlogs he has released including Diddy Is Innocent, Why Smash 4 Will Die, Why You Should Pick A Top Tier and others. SSBM Tutorials is a Youtube channel with the aim of releasing tutorials and how to play videos to help players at any level improve their Melee game. Recently they released a tutorial to help players learn one of the most fundamental aspects of the Ice Climbers: desyncing. So for any players trying to learn or those who have just never known quite how it works this video is perfect Give it a watch and increase that Melee knowledge!

As usual when version 1.1.1 of Smash was released it came without patch notes. While frustrating many members of the Smashboards community took to mining their games to get the information on what major changes had happened and compiled them in the official patch notes thread. However some people have a hard time just reading and would like a more visual example of the changes. Youtube channel Vitamin ZK compiled all of the changes into a three part series of videos for just those kinds of people! Ice Climbers extraordinaire ChuDat is a player that has remained a strong force for a very long time. He became one of the best Melee players in the world in the game's early years and nearly singlehandedly developed the Ice Climbers metagame. He still is a force to be reckoned with in 2015, as demonstrated by his incredible run at EVO 2015 that netted him a top 8 placing. ChuDat is also became known for being a top Kirby player in Brawl and Project M.

After departing with Mortality eSports earlier this year, ChuDat was left without a sponsor, preventing him from traveling to tournaments as frequently as before.

Kirby's Inhale is one of the most unique moves in all of Smash Bros. Aside from functioning as a command grab that deals damage to opponents, it allows Kirby to use the neutral special of said character! (It also gives him very cute hats!) For example, if Kirby inhales Mario he can use Mario's fireballs. With such a large variety of moves, Kirby's Inhale can lead to many interesting KOs and setups. The Smashboards events system recently got a fantastic upgrade and we've combed through all of the tournaments submitted to find some of the best events being streamed this weekend to feature here. The Big House 5 is one for the history books. Bolstering record attendance and a slew of events the event had set the stage for an amazing weekend of Super Smash Bros. With multiple top streamers, support from a variety of organizations and a grassroots compendium, and top tournament organizer talent all that was needed to deliver the perfect event was there: And it delivered. In the event preview the scope of the tournament and what to look at going forward was lined out. We've also had a quick glance at the results for Wii U and for Melee. Now it's time to look towards the future as The Big House 5 gets written into the history books as one of the pivotal moments in the Smash community...

For anyone who find themselves fans of The Melee Games and how it brings together some of the best college Smashers in epic crew battles but have always wished something similar existed for Smash 4 this announcement is going to rock. It's time for the beginning of the Smash 4 Collegiate! Being hosted with efforts from Max Ketchum, Toronto Joe, and The Smash Hub Team, this will take some of the best Smash 4 college bound players from North America and Canada and pit them together to see who is truly the best.
