  • Um, I don't really understand what sort of grudge you have against me in the Debate Hall Nomination Topic, I haven't really done or said anything to anger you >_<'
Hmm perhaps I should attempt to get into the debate hall...
Oh, I have a question. What songs should I replace in brawl? 've been messing around with some music hacks and I am tempted to put in some chrono trigger music. @_@
And about the debate on God, you essentially captured my opinion on your last post. I want to humor you for the sake of debating and take a different stand, but I'll have to let that one be in a few days when I can sit down and think, and pull up some research.

Right now all I can come up with is just incoherent mess.

    Soon my friend, soon. :p
Like I said before... I'm delighted about delorted. IDK about RDK though, :p

humor fail lol. I need to fall asleep for a week.
PS: I have a fever and I'm stressed out right now so my common sense is down about 60%.

    lol
    You posted:

Just letting you guys know that these are very impressive posts.

The big thing about links is that you have to remember their purpose. Coming into a thread, posting a link with no summary information, and then leaving is bad debating. You shouldn't expect your opponents to just read whatever website you post as the bulk of your argument; the whole point of debating is to sum up the information in your source and present it in your own words.

and I wanted to let you know that my post was that. I put my thoughts into an argument and then got backup sources to prove it. The sources are a long and more dragging version of what I said in my post, for those who wanted to verify the authenticity of my claim. Quoting it in the post would have been kind of redundant. I cited it as a source after the summary.

I guess my question is, what exactly did I do wrong? O.o

I'm just confused and sincerely interested to know lol
Yeah as soon as I saw you post that I took the initiative I wonder if anyone else noticed it LOL.

Lets bring this up to CK
Well the electoral reform thread died =\

I mean that's an issue that isn't partisan at all I figured it would have sparked a lot of debate. oh wellz =[
I appreciate you volunteering for proving grounds duty, don't go too hard on us, though. :p
@ Aesir. Ew electoral reform. I wrote a 19 page paper on electoral form a few months ago. I cringe every time I hear the words.
Oh man I like how my last post was in the foca thread was completely over looked by the other side LOL.
I don't touch religion anymore it's kind of a bore anyway. I liked lordofthemornings idea make threads that discuss certain policies and what not.
Where have you been? It's so hard to keep debates logical when you're the only one. =(
Hi RDK I heard you were making a draft concerning the antiban concerning the DDD infinite. I would like to see it. Please.
    I'll give you cookies!
I think I'm going to apply for membership in the debate hall. I can't deal with the run-of-the-mill idiots any more.
In the society thread you sparked my interest. Where's you stance on regulation? You've seen me post about this thousands of times so I assume you know what I mean by regulation.
    D
also, DH council? fill me in :p
Lol it gets kind of annoying in the DH when you're refuting the same argument over and over again.
I'm a Computer Scientist. Specifically, I specialize in Information Assurance, which is Computer Security.

    You?
No problem. You'll love every moment of this article. The guy who wrote it of course has a P.h.D in Astronomy. :)
It has been argued by the theist that the heavenly bodies are so nicely "guided" in space that they never collide; that their orbits are so "laid out" that each star keeps its appointed distance from all the others; that, in a word, we are confronted with the evidence of a "directing" agency keeping the stars in their courses.

This confounding of the situation arising from the failure to note that the present "order" of motion in the system has been reached only after the greatest "disorder" and counter- play of opposing forces; bodies which have collided or been absorbed by others, or whose motions were counter to the general trend of motion are now no longer present or felt in the main tide of dominant motion; billions of years have eliminated the weaker modes of motion. The struggle for existence in the heavens, from nebulae to stars, and from stars to planets, is quite as deadly as anywhere else, and on a far more colossal scale. The survival of the fittest exists in the heavens as well as on earth. Even after the lapse of unspeakable billions of years, we are confronted with the evidence of innumerable catastrophes in the skies: catastrophes which upset every vestige of an "Ordained" order of motion and movement.

We have with us today the tell-ale wreckage of "burst" stars, "mashed" planets and satellites, and the daily "annihilation" of heavenly bodies.

Romanticism died a long time ago:-p.

You're right, he can defend his case well, but when you're uninformed, you can only take your premise "so far."
How about just the existence of God? That's a potentially big topic, and it covers a lot of sub-topics we could delve into. -By RDK towards Delorted
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From what I remember when I last spoke with him on MSN...
Delorted is an interesting man. While he's very intelligent, he does not bother researching his own questions.

For example, he pulled out a picture of a nebula as his case for God. Somehow, the beauty and sheer size of the infamous lion head nebula(Do not know the correct name, as it's still one of the topics I've kept on hold while working on my general Ed classes, I just know the basics.[how they come to be, what happens as a result of them, ect]) was supposed to prove that it was too much work for nature, and that it must somehow justify an intelligent being.

Perhaps he's more informed now. I'll say it for insurance/understanding purposes, he is an intelligent man, just happened to be missinformed at the time.
It's good to actually see someone not want the D3 infinites banned.

Oh and BTW I liked your "tourneyf**" avatar better :)
Sorry, I was gone for 5 days for Dreamhack, the world's biggest "computer festival" (LAN). Where are they being stupid?
