I explained very clearly to you why I closed it though. Social groups are not hidden they are one of the first things you see scrolling down the site. Feel free to get another mod who wants look after the thread, I have no problem if an smod+ wants to watch it and keep it on topic, I just doubt they will keep up with it and it will be closed again eventually.

Yes, I locked it, because I'm done with it, it's really not hard to understand. SEVERAL times other mods closed the thread and we had a discussion about the thread a couple of months ago and most mods just wanted the thread gone because it caused too much flaming and animosity. I proposed myself taking care of it and fought for it to stay open because I thought it was a good idea. I no longer think it's a good idea, it only leads to animosity and there is no reason I should have to stalk the thread to infract people every page it's just not worth my time. The reason so many people cause problems in that thread is because almost no one takes it seriously. I do applaud the people that take it seriously and take it for what it is, but those are far and few in between.

I'm not making it a social thread unless it's in a social room. Staff as a whole tries to keep social threads to a minimum and only allow them in character rooms generally or close-knit communities. People aren't being social in the thread, they are being derogatory, rude, trolls, and easily offended. We've already tried assigning specific mods to the thread several times, we have already had SEVERAL mods watch the thread at the same time, and it never helps. Just infracting people and constantly telling them to get on topic only works for a small amount of time and it always just drifts back towards spam and flaming.

My opinion would be to make a social group for it. I can copy the information in the first post and pm it to you if you want but I'm not opening that thread again.

I don't think you understand how many times that thread has been closed/almost deleted by other mods. I'm done with it, I'm the only reason it was open in the first place.

You can indeed make it a social thread as long as the flaming stops. I don't really care about off topic posts if it's going to be in a social room.

It's pretty much impossible honestly. That thread has been closed and remade three times I think now, and I'm one of the main reasons it's been kept open. It's too hard to watch and it ALWAYS devolves into spam, no matter how many people try to keep it on topic. It just makes people want to flame and spam for whatever reason when talking about that subject and I'm done dealing with it.

Probably because there's been an absurd amount of off-topic spam in there recently... ask Hylian for details, he's the one who locked it.
