Please don't tell me that my thread was pointless when there are plenty of other threads that fit the judgment. I am aware of the risk that comes with my post being closely associated with that stupid debate, but risk =/= no discussion. At the very least, the thread was there for people to share their observations, stories, and other things of that nature; It was not to serve as a host for any negativity. You say that my thread was pointless as a basis for locking it, but as I suspected, it was paranoia of the subject that drove the ultimate decision of locking the thread, which is unfair to say the least.

Now if you want to go into the subject of what is pointless and bears no useful discussion, as well as not directly associated with Melee, why have you not also locked the threads that center around the sharing of "stupid things said in smash" or "stupid things you've heard in...whatever"? Are you telling me that those threads are not pointless as well? Are the potential risk and discussions that those threads spur no different from what my thread would have sparked?

I do not mean to argue against your authority, and I'm sure you're just doing what you feel is necessary, but your decision to lock my thread lacks any solid reasoning other than what can be perceived as paranoia. I feel your decision was definitely rushed.

You have got to be kidding me. It's pathetic just how sensitive the subject itself has become. Not to mention you locked the thread over an obviously sarcastic remark by Banks. I'm sorry if I sound disrespectful, but this site has really gone downhill and the ratio of thread locking nowadays is ridiculous.
