    Sorry to ask, but I noticed in a discord reply you said spirits are "**** all", would that mean little to no spirit fighters or more than that? Just confused on your wording sorry. Im just hoping that doesn't disconfirm Geno's chances despite you saying your sources believe the "cacomallow leak".

    Also another thing- I noticed you mentioned you'll only be on discord, would that mean you won't check in on smashboards? Also if so, is your discord public for anyone to add you?

    Also edit: sorry to hear about the doxing stuff, I dont know why people have to be so ****ed up over video game speculation, my condolences. And thanks to all you do for the Geno smash boards, it means a lot.

    To clarify, if we get "promotions", everything I've heard suggests it won't be a lot. Based on my own theories, it would be literally one spirit, one assist trophy, and one costume but, of course, that could easily change.

    Like I said, in the event of Geno joining, I'll stick around for a while but I kind of get the feeling that, if I'm right, it'll probably be a King Zell situation and people will be so salty that they're try to chase me off this site. Still, I can be reached on Discord and I value being transparent so I'm willing to answer questions within reason.

    I don't think likely, to be honest. The reason I say that is because the only time I've heard indie characters is in regards to Mii costumes (one current rumor is that 6 is supposed to come with 2 very cool indie costumes and music) and characters that were supposedly pitched at Sakurai but seemingly didn't go anywhere (in other words, can't be confirmed).

    Any particular reason you're confident in your sources about a Bethesda character besides a gut feeling? At this stage, it does feel to me like we're getting a character almost no one would have guessed.

    Sorry, just now noticing this. Remember that 7 Remakes/Remasters rumor I shared a while back? About half the list would be the revival of dead franchises if those particular rumors are true. Food for thought.

    For curiosity's sake, how high are the chances for the next character to be a lesser-known first-party or from a company that's not talked about much? And by that, I mean barely brought up by fans at all, so no Bamco, Tecmo, Microsoft or whomever else.

    As for Kos-Mos, literally nothing from any of my contacts. Female characters have been weirdly absent from the conversation except in the light that "a number were considered in the most basic of terms but ultimately dropped, or at least assumed to be."

    Those will probably show up much, much later in the DLC cycle. I mean, we did get Bayonetta at the arse end of 4's DLC cycle (and yes, I acknowledge that what I said could be taken as a pun, given who it is I brought up). In any case it's way too early to tell who's coming on the long term with tight lid on future plans beyond the infamous WOL slots.

    No. Only one of my contacts has talked about Advance Wars ever and I don't think it's a really credible rumor. A mobile game apparently but nobody else in my circle has heard this. Like I said, I don't really believe it based on this.

    Not that we've heard, weirdly enough. Apparently a lot were considered but likely didn't make it past the absolute most initial stage according to one of the sources. Don't know how he got that info though.

    Again, weirdly no. One of my contacts claims that Jill from Resident Evil was the farthest considered female character for DLC but something went screwy and she was flat out dropped. Unfortunately, there's no way to verify this and he supposedly got this rumor from one of his most reliable contacts. It's a weird telephone game sometimes.

    Ryu's weird. Been part of the conversation since last December but nobody knows what to make of him. He just kind of exists. One of my contacts thinks the Smash rumors actually spawned thanks to a rumored Ninja Gaiden game that he described as "NES style" coming to Switch. I guess a "classic reboot" of some sort?

    Apparently, some "rumors" have companies taking action. And with some data being scrapped without warning it's near-impossible to tell if anyone's right anymore, so most fans gave up and just twiddling thumbs now.

    We've basically gone back to the days of gaming mags giving only a trickle of upcoming game info once per month.

    Not always. The stuff I get isn't known with a 100% certainty so even the sources have their doubts at times. Not to get too deep into semantics but a leak implies 100% certainly which I definitely don't have. I trust my contacts, yes. Believe them without doubt or questions? No.

    Pretty happy considering it's recognition after nearly two decades. Not the desired outcome but given Geno got farther than characters like Ridley and Isaac and on the same level as K. Rool and the Inklings, I'll take it. Most people were saying that Geno would never be recognized in a Smash game in any form so I take this as a big accomplishment for a character a lot of people dismissed as being too obscure.

    Heya, sorry to be a bother, but I'm looking to get thread ownership changed. I just got permission from SuperShyGuy to take over the Rayman support thread. I'm not entirely sure how this works/what to do, but I figured this is something mods do.
