It's just a lot different. I didn't know that you weren't going to college so I'll elaborate a bit.
You don't get night lessons. Basically, you choose what subjects you're doing (minimum of 3, maximum of about 5 or 6) then you're given about 2 or 3 different choices of times (for example; monday 9 til 11, tuesday 1:30 til 3, friday 3 til 4:30, as opposed to something like wednesday 1:30 til 3, thursday 9 til 11, or friday 9 til 11) then you've just gotta show up at those times and no others.
As I've scheduled it, I get wednesdays off completely, and I get two half days in college. At my college, the latest lesson on one day finishes at 5, and the rest of the week at half 4, so I'm in no later than that.
As for the teachers and stuff, they're a lot less demanding. They're not like school teachers who are there to crush your souls and make you work, they're there to actually help you.
The actual lessons are pretty school-like though, just a little more laid back.
