How is it controversial to say that bayonetta has a connection to nintendo that’s more than just being on nintendo consoles?

I feel like the smash community’s tendency to make weird conspiracy theories about why characters are or aren’t in and how the choosing process goes is because of how bad at communication with fans nintendo and sakurai are

Alright so I know this statement might be different from what he originally said because of how translations work but I wanna give my thoughts on this
Look no offense to sakurai but he is definitely overestimating how much smash bros depends on him and it comes off as a little narcissistic. It would be difficult for smash to work with another director but it’s not any more difficult than it would have to be to make smash ultimate. It might be rough at first but a smash game without his involvement is absolutely something that could happen.
Also this may be a result of the translation or something but it does seem like he’s comparing smash ultimate to something with broader themes like berserk that absolutely can only truly work with one author. Smash ultimate isn’t berserk and that comparison definitely comes off as a little narcissistic. There aren’t any broader themes in smash besides “fun ultimate nintendo/videogame crossover” and of course it’s art, but it’s just not the kind of art that needs to have the same creator the entire time.
This shows a huge issue with japanese work culture (which is obviously a huge issue, and I don’t know enough to comment on all of it) and the mentality of creators

Do those accounts that post like ten threads at once about the same smash tournament get warnings or anything? It’s really annoying to get the list of threads filled up with spam
NASB does potentially open up a lot of discussions on if it can be good for a game to launch unfinished on day 1 if there’s good communication about it, but pretty much any discussions almost immediately get shut down with “If there’s no VA it’s bad”
also I feel like most people in the smash community don’t even know it’s going to be updated

I think the idea of creation threads having different jobs for individual special moves is pretty bad. Movesets are the kind of thing you really need more unity for

The lack of any garou mark of the wolves content in smash is seriously weird. It’s such an iconic part of the fatal fury series and they added tracks from series that were never even in KoF before it?
You’d think someone at nintendo would want to add content from the game and I doubt SNK with their “ok” responses would not approve it
