i'm only 15. and being that my mom is the only one who can drive me to tournaments and she doesn't like driving for 30 minutes, i think i can relate. and she's against it for the most part. so yah.......i can kind of understandI live about an hr away. I'm only 14, so that's a big problem with my mom. She's heavily against me trying to be a smasher who wants to win money. She's so against it you wouldn't understand : /. The only people who can take me are my dad, and next ZP, my sister's fiance, but with these tournaments, the only way to get my mom to say yes is after a long argument after springing it on her at the last minute. She is sooooooooo anti Oni wanting to become a pro/semi pro. My last tourney was ZP #1, and that's my third tournament I've played in. My first and second ones were last march :O I really wish I could do this whole traveling smasher thing, but I can't do it if my mother doesn't support it. It somewhat pisses me off.
I'm not longer going to this. My homecoming and SATs are on this day. Going to the melee one instead. Sorry folks
You guys should have gotten a high score on them already.I have SATs this day too, so I won't be going either.
Cool story bronot coming... i'm in Socal not actually winning money there cuz there's no tournaments at a reasonable travel distance by public transportation lolz
Afffrrrooooo , drop me a beat.Im going to this.
Lol, thanks polt, however, it's the other way around with her: The more of an interest I show, the more she won't let me go.Try to convince her. I had to bring up that argument with my parents on numerous occasions.
If that doesn't work, take it slowly. Your mom will eventually start to let you go to more if you show a great interest in participating in tournies. It may take a while (it took me about 10 months; I was basically 100% restricted to the will of my parents until I got my license), but she'll start to trust us more.
Don't worry. If you persevere, it'll work out.

Bri knows how to SAT-cancel into Brawltournamentdash
The Brawltournament part in Brawltournamentdash is actually an acronym, just like SAT.
I don't wanna drive 40 minutes and pay an entrance fee for something I do every day at fiu lolJust to clarify, this is a tournament right? Not some lovey dovey smash fest thing :-P
Some horrible game people use to play before Brawl came out. Thanks Seibrik, may end up going...

Just because that's what happened with the Melee->Brawl situation doesn't mean it applies to every situation.does that imply that 64 was a horrible game before melee came out o.o...what u trying to pull tommy g!
