Aaaanyway.... Who plays Blazblue here? ;D I've just got it and I suck hehe. This game is hard and Rachel doesn't have any mercy with that dumb learning curve of hers. But she's just soooo good and her combos satisfy me @_@.

I honestly don't know how else you'd be able to land utilt since it's so slow, lol. Only other way I can think of is punishing a spot/airdodge.

Utilt's not thaaaat slow (for Zelda), it's just really slow if you miss, lol. But the startup's not bad at the front.

Spotdodge > utilt is a scrub tactic, but it works on tall characters if they whiff something dumb (or a grab) near you. Kinda like how Snakes like to do it sometimes, except our utilt is 100000x crappier.

Isn't usmash a key punisher though? Dtilt to usmash wouldn't kill as early as I'd think it would because I personally overuse it for punishing and 0% setups.

Yeah, in all honesty, usmash tends not to kill that soon for me either since I use it a lot. You can either try to keep it fresh (doesn't work well in my opinion, especially since she can't rely on grab pummels like Sonic/Pika can.... or a projectile.... or anything quick + easy to hit with) or go for utilt instead, but utilt can be airdodged through half the time.

Dtilt > dsmash works before the popup happens, but it won't kill. It can set up for gimps tho on characters with bad vertical recoveries.

I used to play it frequently back in Fall of 2009. My crew is more of less over it now. Until CS is out on the Console we're probably gonna stick to Brawl, SF and random games that last for a weekend or two.

As far as dtilt pop up follow ups my goal is to go for anything with a lightning sweet spot. Especially dair.

Don't worry, KayLo! He's one of the leaders of the "X > Espy Drama" campaign. I got a lot of ****talk and pointless flames for that problem a few months ago. It's probably one of the reasons the Sonic boards pretty much died.

Anyways, I kinda hope to play some WiFi and more Offline matches with Zelda soon. I feel like my Zeldas getting pretty solid.

Greyfox can tell you that much at least.

Red: Between 100-120 they can't AD out of an Dtilt pop. Usmash is also good after it but that may get stale cause of the usage in actual combat. Utilt really does kill at that percentage under FD ceiling. You're just gonna have to try it out.

Blue: xD your already a better Zelda than I and I main the girl.

Once you get the technical stuff down (which'll take all of two minutes), you'll have hit the ceiling for Zelda's potential. It's pretty low. ;;

Espy still teaching me Sonic, if random voices of him tell me what not to do counts, and I'm just telling him what to use more and he does it with smarts.

I said MK/Snake specifically because I think they're the worst and by far the most common. Minus Olimar, but you don't see him much. The rest of the top/high tiers are bad but not unholy **** if you know what you're doing. Imho.

The national wasn't cancelled due to lack of attendance, we have a couple smashers who have been all over the west coast who have met a lot of top players, it was cancelled due to personal reasons.

Oh and I don't really troll to be quite honest there are other people that post here more frequently that do a considerably larger amount of trolling than I ever have.

I considered getting Blazblue, but the fact that it has such a laughably small cast size is putting me off. If it makes up for that with great character balance and brilliant depth, I'll consider it. Otherwise I'll probably get Soul Calibur IV instead (which I can also get a LOT cheaper).
