Yeah uair is probably Zelda's best move. Check out DarkMusician's Playing with Fire combo vids, most of his kills were done with that move.

dude its because its so broken that they have to ban it from low tiers its still perfectly exceptable in normal singles due to zelda being so terrible to begin with that a boost in stats is perfectly allowable

and nah dude pts down b is useless, it gives everyone free full charged smashes on you unless you are on smashville... then its just broken and gay and **** cuz you cant punish it there, plus if you use it to just be squirtle he gets sick and moves slower and stuff and its really gay for squirtle cuz he is like omfg im the only good poke mon but unlike every other pokemon that are wild and untrained in this game i get tired and pass out easy

But really if you just Dtilt pop > Utilt at 120-130, Any none heavy will die. Light weights like Jiggz will die at like 90-100. Granted if the Utilt is fresh.

Yeah, they can, but dtilt popup combos into utilt/usmash in the early 100's. (Exact percentage depends on the character.) There's more info on that in the GFF research thread.

Utilt/usmash are usually enough to kill provided they're fresh (unless the opponent's really heavy), but if for some reason they don't, you can try reading a DJ into uair. The only problem is that uair is REALLY slow on startup (frame 14), so if they have a fast dair, they can DJ dair and possibly hit you depending on their range.

Some characters can also airdodge back to the ground, and if you don't read it correctly, you'll get punished for an attempted uair/utilt. (Usmash is pretty good for beating airdodge landings, but at higher percentages, they can DI away far enough that you kinda have to predict where they'll land.)

As far as uair kills: one thing I've been playing around with that seems to work pretty often -- the first time -- stems from Pierce's idea of fthrow off the ledge > predict DJ > uair. A lot of people jump when Zelda throws them off the stage, thinking it's an easy way to avoid anything she can come after them with, so if you stay back a little and uair their DJ, it can get some pretty early kills. It's kind of a one trick pony move, but hey..... easy early KO is worth it.

Hmm...we do acquire alot of trolls here on the boards.

My only question for GKirbz is if you know all this, why troll the Zelda boards? None of us Zelda mains are going to give up Zelda just because of what the tier list says. Hell look at all the tourney Zelda's, what little we have left, and you tell me whether or not we don't use Zelda to help get high placings.

I'm not trying to put you on the spot but your telling us stuff that we already know.

@GreyFox: Most low tier boards do. It's the defeatist (and usually realistic, as mean as that sounds) attitude, imo...... nobody cares since the characters are bad, so nothing productive gets done. Perfect breeding ground for trolls.

The Jiggs board trolls itself, and the Zelda board attracts good players' troll friends (i.e.: MrEh, GKirby).

He canceled his big national tournament today. Other than the $1000 he was throwing into the pot, no one would want to go to a tournament where the TO is constantly banned and trolling.

People got kicked out of the workshop backroom because of their trolling & spamming ways.

I honestly don't know how else you'd be able to land utilt since it's so slow, lol. Only other way I can think of is punishing a spot/airdodge.

Don't worry, KayLo! He's one of the leaders of the "X > Espy Drama" campaign. I got a lot of ****talk and pointless flames for that problem a few months ago. It's probably one of the reasons the Sonic boards pretty much died.

Isn't usmash a key punisher though? Dtilt to usmash wouldn't kill as early as I'd think it would because I personally overuse it for punishing and 0% setups.

Anyways, I kinda hope to play some WiFi and more Offline matches with Zelda soon. I feel like my Zeldas getting pretty solid.
