Hey other Zelda player(s), I've incorporated a low kick full jump, into my game just yesterday. It's made my game about 510% better, I think. I do it by using the joystick to do a full jump, then using the c-stick to do a kick as low to the ground as possible, and then you still travel up. I tried using the x button, but I had trouble holding it long enough, and then switching over to the b/f air without going to high for the first kick. It's awesome because it makes it so the other player can't just attack out of a sheild and counter your kicks. And it's also sweet for other reasons, too.

I think i know what you mean...it almost looks like an empty short hop but you kick at the very end as you land.

Looks sweet and its like super effective ^_^

Oh and Impp how did the zelda **** at ohio go?

No, you kick as your rising from the full jump, at the beginning of the jump, and you try to do it as low as possible, and then after the kick you continue going up in the air.

And it went super awesome. D20 ran over me like a train in the crew battle, though. He's a beast... He had an epic set with Big R, came down to the last hit on the third set, and he almost won. He's a beast. I think I'm afraid of him now.

^It might not be the incredible thing I thought it was, but I think full hopped kickes are better at a lot of the times, I'm trying to break the habit of only short hop kicking.

Also, Lets say I catch a bomb from a Link or Young Link player. Then as the bombs about to explode, I up B and teleport through the Link player, and as my invisible Zelda crosses the Link player the bomb explodes, and hits the Link player, then a fraction of a second later my Zelda reappears a little distance aways unharmed. Aside from like the ridiculous timing, is it possible to do this? Cuz it'd be awesome if it was... And probably one of the most useful techniques ever!

That's probably the coolest idea for a sweet flashy combo to watch ever. If it works mind if I steal it? lol even if you say no I'm gonna steal it anyways. But figured I'd ask.

EDIT: That is, if I can find a way to preform that into a tiny 2 hit combo. just for the cool factor.

i use the control stick jump cstick method too sometimes when i want neutral or retreating di on the full jump otherwise i just use A button, i do this with almost every character that has quick aerials. works with sheik fair (barely), marth fair/bair, mario uair/bair, etc.

The only problem is that while it seems very spammable if u dont at least hit a shield and shieldstun ur in a bad position all the way up there and it takes like a day to get back to the ground with floaty zelda

Back here again...

Who does Zelda chainthrow with her U-throw? Just the normal fastfallers?

Yeah, I've thrown Fox, Falco, and Captain Falcon up in the air, and caught them all before they hit the ground. I'm not sure to what extent they can DI out of it, though, and whether any up throw by Zelda is truly an inescapable chain grab, but it definitely works sometimes.

Upsmash is the best when it lands (: (FLOATY COMBO! Upsmash to uptilt to Fair! AMAZING!)

Upthrow works on really really bad marths/sheiks/marios

Chain throw fox into kicks or f-smash

Just kick falco, tis all you need

and on falcon do whatever your heart pleases

i think u-throw works against everyone tbqh because i think it's zelda's only chance of comboing even if it as brawl style combo of throw --> wait for them to do something --> react.

Random question : Why can't Zelda WoP, aside from the lack of multi-jumps >_<

Up-throw is the best option for any character when they are low %. high% for fast fallers is still good. However floaty characters at high %? better to back throw them off the edge, and try to intercept imo.

Thats why you do the legendary Fair to upB escape tactic!

Perfect for instilling fear while keeping yourself out of harms way ^_<

Can Zelda CG Bowser with Down throw? D= I was playing with a CPU and I could grab him until 80% :o
It's possible? DK pops out too much making it unable to regrab =/

And Do turnips eat damage? >_> I was Zelda and lightning kicked a Peach's turnip and the one who took the lightning stun animation was the turnip but Peach received the damage >.> <.<

umm.. I would seriously need to see that happen. turnip only have a hitbox, no body, so they shouldn't receive lighting stun animation. maybe it was glitch and a potentially useful one if you can get it on command.

projectiles that have a "body" (such as sheiks charged needles, or links arrows) would receive stun animation.

as for chain grabbing bowser, no. it doesn't work on one that DIs. I was pretty upset when I learned that peach only 0 - death CG a CPU marth.. lol

What denotes that a projectile has a body? The turnip seems like a physical item...
a projectile that has a body and takes a hit will retain the effects of the attack (such as burn, stun etc) they will also stop single hit attacks (such as samus' charged shot)

or have u ever had your attack slow down because you hit one of sheik's fallen needles?? that's because u hit it's "body" as if it were a character (I really don't know what else to call it.. lol)

I think something similar has happened to me vs. a Falco, only I went over his head and did 10% even though I saw the sparks for a lightning kick come out and he didn't flinch.

Nah thats just a ghost hit silly.

Yeah most projectiles with "bodies" remain on the ground (as if someday they could live amongst us *shakes fist to the heavens* perhaps in the next smash brothers) peachs turnups dont do that yo.

Dude youd be suprised on who you can chain grab with the d-throw with bad DI...always throw that throw in there to mix things up but dont abuse it.

Oh and dont worry about chaingrabbing bowz, just throw him off the stage and Dair him. Its rikickulous ^_^

not neccessarily. lasers count as items thrown and they don't have a body.

Lake pretty much hit the nail. they tend to stick around on the ground before poofing away.. lol
