It's totally possible, just unlikely. Every round they switch which side of losers your put into to try and avoid people meeting twice. It could be impossible but someone would have to go now and count the rounds to see if it matches up that way.
The player waiting in Losers' Finals comes from Winners' Finals. Two players storming through Losers' at latest meet at Losers' Semi Finals, where the loser of that gets 4th. A perfect example of this is Armada and Amsah at Pound 4: http://allisbrawl.com/brackets/bracket7373.gif
Also notice as Zhu demolished Losers' as well and ran into Amsah eventually. An easy way to remember where two players meet that have at least won one match in Losers' Bracket is whenever they're fighting for a rank not guaranteed from Winners' (4th, 7th, 13th, 25th, etc). An extension of that is that two players running through Losers' can't both get beyond 4th (Amsah and Armada), two running through the same half of Losers' can't both get beyond 7th (Amsah and Zhu), two running through the same quarter of Losers' can't both get beyond 13th (Amsah and Linguini), etc.

this side switching of yours doesn't actually exist, the entire bracket is already fixed
think of it as a really weird version of a 696-man bracket

He means the alternating half of the bracket where the loser is sent to, which does exist at EVO like always. See any of the Pools, and you'll see that sections A, B, C, and D send losers to one side of the bracket, and the losers of the following round (sections I and J) are sent to the opposite side. Then the loser of the next round (section M) is also sent to the opposite side of I and J, but the same side of A, B, C, and D. That's completely standard bracketting.

In any case, the simplest way to explain the Mango/Armada/Dr.PP rankings is that any two of them cannot both make it to Winners' Finals, which is required to have all of them in the top 3. One or more of them is getting 4th or worse.

*only one can reach winners finals

I think there's an anomaly though...WQF (last round of Semis) and WSF (1st round of Finals) seed to the same side. I think this is a discrepancy created by having 16-man Semis, unlike say Marvel (where it's top 32 and there is no such anomaly). This actually significantly impacts results because it means Armada, Mango, and PP can all finish top 4 (though one of them can get no higher than 4th).
you're seeing things, they already can all get top 4....

That kinda sucks since those 3 are considered the best 3 players and yet only 1 will make it to WFs.

Isn't there a huge bracket showing all these positions? The bracket stuff is very interesting but I'm not really familiar with brackets, let alone a giant one.

They can, but it would require one of PP/Mango/Armada to lose to someone else before their projected meetups.

I was wrong about the bracket, though - don't know what I was on when I decided that the seeding was unusual.
if the three win against everyone except each other:

Mango goes to I57/Q1, then J57/Q93, then Q109 in top 8
Armada goes to I59/Q35, J57/Q97, then Q110 in top 8, facing Mango (if he beats PP, obviously reverse it if PP wins)
PP goes to I59/Q25, goes to J57/Q100 after losing to Armada and winning the next match, ends up in Q114, which is the opposite side of where the Mango/Armada loser goes (loser there faces Q115/116 winner in losers quarters aka top 6)

so no, they don't need to

Apparently I can't EVO brackets.

EDIT: ABCD to CDAB in WQF, and AB to BA in WSF. Two consecutive rounds seed to the opposite side of losers' ... I still think that's unusual.

So now that the stream crisis is over. What about the current issue of having Armada/Mango/PP on the same side of the bracket? It feels like one of them should move to the other side.

Wouldn't this also mean that the most likely WFs is Armada vs Hbox?

If you assume that Armada>PP&Mango, as well as Hbox>M2K, and assume no upsets anywhere else in the bracket.
Even then, there should be good amounts of hype for just about any matchup between the top five...
Except maybe M2K vs Hbox, because M2K can't even take a game...

So, this seems like a good time to change/get back on topic. A question for the top players (hbox, Armada, m2k, Mango and PP): If you absolutely can't win for whatever reason; who would you want to win instead? Doubt any of you will bother answering but it's worth a shot

Edit: I guess this question goes for anyone who legitimately thinks they have a chance of winning. If you cant win, who would you want to win instead?

Wobbles is so good. I really just want him to wobble everyone as hard as possible. No mercy.

speaking of which wobbles did work today...so sad though for mango. Oh well bad news for everyone in the losers bracket right now. Losers bracket MaNg0 is a whole 'nother beast.
