As the title says, whats your favorite starter? Out of all of them.
Personally, I like Charmander, Totodile and Cyndaquil. c:

Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup, and Oshawott.

My favorite starter based on Kanto would be Squirtle simply because alot of Pokemon have a weakness agaisnt water/ice attacks.

As for Johto based I'd say Cyndaquil since it evolves in a ferocious Typhlosion.

In general I like all 6 starters, but those two are my top.

For each region... Charmander, Totodile, Torchic, Empoleon, and... ... ...not really either of the Gen V starters... >_> Tepig is a fire pig... Oshawott is a goofy little otter thing... Snivy's cool, but it's a defensive Pokemon...

Probably Pikachu, but other then that pretty much any Grass Starter.

Pokemon yellow should have had a move tutor to teach Pikachu Surf

It's ALL about your starter Pikachu, but to play the surf thing you have to get one from an event or stadium. One that doesn't follow you around

Region-wise it goes like this for me:
Kanto- Charmander
Johto- A toss-up between Totodile and Cyndaquil
Hoenn- Torchic
Sinnoh- Piplup
Unova- Snivy
Overall though Snivy is my fav starter

Unova - Not sure, I like how Serperior looks, but after using him his movepool is too limited

Other than Torterra, grass pokemon have always been WAY too limited from what I've seen.

I can't use them

Torterra isn't great, but having earth and rock moves helps me find a place on my team a lot easier than other pokemon. Serperior is what I picked for white, and I regretted it

Vensaur is definitely not limited. He's very versatile from what I know

And he's probably my favourite starter.
Btw, am I the only one that hates all of the 5th gen starters?

I didn't remember enough about Venusaur to make a statement.

But in all, my favorite are water types but I usually stick with fire types.
