Hey yoshi players does yoshis spotdodge have funky Z-axis properties like DDD's. I have the hardest time punishing his spotdodge so I was wondering.

I don't think it does. Yoshi's spotdodge does have good frame data though.

Spot dodge
Invincibility: 2-20
Ends: 22

Basically, you have one frame to hit him before the spotdodge becomes invincible, and only two frames after the invincibility.

If Yoshi is spamming spotdodge, you have 3 frames, two at the end of each spotdodge + one at the beginning of the next.

Yoshis spot dodge is pretty much the worst possible spot dodge you could have from a Z Axis standpoint, lol. But like Delta said, it is fantastic frame wise which is far more important than the Z Axis, and is easily one of, if not THE best spot dodges.

If you were to nitpick and bring Z Axis into the spot dodges as well to compare all the best spot dodges (best frame wise go to: Yoshi, Pikachu, Falco, Link, Toon Link, and Marth) the best spot dodge in the game is PROBABLY Link's or Toon Link's, but honestly, the Z Axis doesnt make any difference (outside of D3 due to janky hurtbox placement) and would hardly be any better, if it is technically any better at all (which Im not even sure if it does).

/talking about something that makes no difference and doesnt matter

Yoshi's Story was kinda eh. It's a pleasant game, that suffers from bad controls (seriously, why is that stick so non responsive), and the gameplay itself isn't entirely amazing.

I still really like the game, but it's not really that great. I don't think I'd enjoy another game like it due to lack of nostalgia helping me.

I remember Yoshi Story being one of my favorite games as a kid.

I ruined that feel by playing it again recently. It...wasn't as amazing as I remember. Yoshi's island still remains the best yoshi game imo.
