It's decided then, i shall (try..) to work on a highlight video for my Bowser! Looks like I'm gonna need to get in A LOT more matches in the coming months, your Samus included KJ. I have to ask though, can you help me with video editing? I'm completely new to that, and what VE programs are recommended nowadays? I would use Windows Movie Maker but yeeeeeaaaaaa... Last i heard Camtasia Studio was fairly high quality, though that may have changed in the past few years.

@ Dikastis Shok.

It's been a while but i do (did?) play MKWii :)

@ Limit.

What Limit said.

EDIT: My name was ripped from a character from the old Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon (SATAM). There was a character called IxisNaugus who appeared in an episode and was meant to become the main antagonist/villain of the new series that was planned. Unfortunately the show was canceled and the character no long exists, the character also appeared in the comics, though I'm unsure how big of a role he played there or how long he was there for, i never read the comics; all i know is that there was someone named Naugus from a group called the Order of Ixis (hence IxisNaugus).
ANYWAY, i re-watched the old series once a long time ago and read up on its cancellation, then i stumbled across the name IxisNaugus and thought "oh that names really cool" so i decided I'd use it and here i am.

@ Phiddlesticks.

I like your username :)

Thought I'd share this with you guys.

A bit late to the party Ixis.

I uploaded the entire album 2 days ago. lol

For Windows, you'd probably want to use Sony Vegas. For Mac, you'd want to use Final Cut Pro, or a variation of it.

If you can't afford either, then Windows Movie Maker is the way to go yo. lol

But it says uploaded "1 day ago" on the youtube page D:

What are your favorite tracks there? Mine have got to be the OCR's for Donkey Kong Rescued (credits) and Stickerbrush Symphony. The Kannon's Klaim OCR is really growing on me as well, but that's probably just because the original is one of my favorite tracks ever.

Thanks for the advice, I'll have to look into Sony Vegas.

Uploaded it in the middle of the night, so it's more like, 1 3/4 days I guess. lol

The credits is amazing because it was remixed by effing David Wise. (the original composer) It also has Robin Beanland and Grant Kirkhope, who did music for other RARE games. (Like Banjo Kazooie)

Kannon's Klaim sounds nice no matter how it's remixed. I also like Hot-Head Bop and Jib Jig. The opening title is also kickass as well.

I finished the game with exactly 24 hours of gameplay. [24:00 but not in one sitting, over like 3 days...probably 8 hours a day, I forget]

No, I didn't finish the Challenge Node's stuff, but I got all the Blitties. :3

I got Flayl from Flail of OMF2097 and from the Scourge (undead) of Warcraft 3. I also liked using mace (crushing weapons that aren't hammers, so it includes flails) barbarians in Diablo 2.

Flayl looks better than Flail (imo).

I came a little at that statement.

Looks like I'm gonna need to get in A LOT more matches in the coming months, your Samus included KJ.
I already told you I quit brawl, I'll be more then happy to face you with Ganon.

I have to ask though, can you help me with video editing?
You don't even need to ask, I would have forced you to use me for that anyway. Editing is one of the few things I do exceptionally well.

I'm completely new to that, and what VE programs are recommended nowadays? I would use Windows Movie Maker but yeeeeeaaaaaa... Last i heard Camtasia Studio was fairly high quality, though that may have changed in the past few years.
Windows Movie Maker is mostly used for compression if im perfectly honest. Sony Vegas 8.0 (No higher, no earlier) is the best way to go for any form of editing you wish to accomplish, I have the cracked version and I'd be more then happy to send it to you.

Camtasia is used mostly for recording, it can't edit to save its life.

If any want to know anything about capturing or stuff like that feel free to ask.

No it's not. Windows Movie Maker is used if they can't afford anything else or they don't know any better.

Trust me on this. There is no reason to even use Windows Movie Maker for compression purposes. WMV, while being small, looks like ****. Unless you're aiming for a very specific size, (which you shouldn't be) you can just crank up the bitrate on any decent encoder and it will turn out nice. h.264 is the standard nowadays, I suggest people use it.

Keep all your footage in raw AVI or another lossless format. Sure, the video will be gigabytes in size, but at least you won't be losing quality due to compression. Re-compressing constantly makes your video look like crap. Once you have the video done, then encode it in h.264.

So basically, being a complete idiot when it comes to editing?

Oh I understand where your coming from there, but many people are a bit skeptical to obtain new programs from sources such as torrents or keygens, which is where obviously, most of us obtained ours, I simply reccomended that because it's better then what Sony Vegas does to compression, it absolutly ruins the frame rate. WMM keeps it up to a semi respectable level (tested by myself).

This is why im forced to compress though. Atm, my computer is running on like, a lack of anything, it's very close to its end and saving in such a high quality just makes it cry. Then again, I've seen Ixis' beautiful machine, it can handle that.

@King Kong, cool story o.o.

Not an idiot. They just don't know.

Well, it's not like I'm rich and buy super expensive programs. For the most part, every video editing program I use is freeware or open source. Sometimes, you just have to understand the tools that you're given. Example...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-eyIJRTzoM&fmt=37

This is a video that I uploaded. Notice that the quality is amazing? lol

Understandable. Not everyone can have a big hard drive.

I know how it is. The computer I'm typing on right now is running on a Pentium 4, and has less then 1.5 Gb of RAM. It also has only 5 gigs left on it's 30 gig hard drive. In short, it's a load of crap.

The quality is good, I noticed however that the clip there is Anime, not from a capture card, thats what I was getting at before. Pretty **** quality imo though.

My comp has 1 Gb of RAM, and a VERY outdated processor. Hard drive space is nothing worth mentioning ;.;.

What capture card are you using?

If file size is an issue, then you might want to consider picking up one of those external hard drives. They sell like 500gb ones for like 75 bucks or something when they're on sale.

Easycap atm, I modified the internal settings of it however so it records a bit better then your standard Easycap x.x. When I start attending college properly, I'll get enough cash to buy a Dazzle, but im fine with this atm.

File size isn't exactly an issue, but it's just harder for my computer to deal with it.

Lol it really is. You do not understand the HORROR I had to go through to get it to record in 60fps with PAL x.x

Recording is already annoying with PAL's silly framerates and resolutions.

Doing it with Easycap? Hell.

ill cry tears of joy.

you know what happens when you make a black man cry tears of joy?

and it is official that Bowser mains are smart as hell irl

new stereotype imo

EDIT: Limit was the name I came up with when I mained R.O.B. I thought it was suitable to have some sort of mathematical/robotic name when maining a Robot and L is my favorite letter :3...well, one of them.

I picked a name that no one would ever think of, so whenever you see/hear Limit it's most likely me :D

It's that hurtbox that's the size of a small country.

Yet every waking day we forgive and forget Bowser's fat.

Oh how I delude myself from his gracious blubber.

...

ok now I'm getting out of hand
