What do you mean by "Random anime tourney"? Is it a tournament held in an anime convention? Because here in Argentina, all tournaments are held in anime conventions.

What I wonder is, why do you dash and then shield alot when getting close to your opponent? Is that some kind of defensive approach? I see Acid uses it alot as well, and I wondered what is that for.

You also stay on your back and short hop Side B to your opponent. Does that trick them into following you?

I always mained Yoshi in all the Mario Karts. A little over a year back I decided I was going to play Mario Kart Wii competitively, and since Yoshi is so god awful in MKW, I decided I would have go on to one of my other 3 favorite Mario characters; Bowser, Daisy, or Toadette. Since it just so happened that Daisy was considered one of the very best in the game, I went with her as she was the better character between Bowser, Daisy, and Toadette. Now, after about a year of playing the game, I started playing Bowser and a lot more in friendlies, and started to use him in tournaments and stuff, and with the results Ive been getting lately, I can definitely say he's the character Im best with and feel most comfortable with, so Im switching over to him. I by no means am going to solo Bowser, I still plan on repping Daisy and Toadette, but imma be going 50-60% Bowser and splitting the other 40-50% between Daisy/Toadette.

That Bowser is not me, lol. I just posted the videos.

Running up to your opponent and shielding is a defensive approach. It is actually a very powerful tool in Brawl in general.

I do not think that facing away was a mind game, but it could double as one. I am pretty sure KENT was facing away mostly because he is constantly switching between retreating and approaching, and he does this because he is constantly spacing and zoning.

It seems to be more useful against pros since they don't seem to shield grab for some reason. I've seen many instances where pro players just stood still shielding next to each other without punishing with a grab.

Not a problem. I wish I was at least half as good as KENT though.

I do not remember for sure (and I am too lazy to watch the video again), but I believe KENT did not actually run up and shield within grabbing range too often. If that is the case, he was doing thus to approach his opponent safely, but Fsann could have easily dash grabbed him every time.

Bowser's hurtbox is very uneven so if you turn his back against your opponents you are making yourself harder to hit while still having the same range on your attacks. Jabbing is harder and in matchups where you need to jab on reaction it's not advised - It's good against MK IMO

Hopping away from your opponent while doing sideB (retreating side b) is a basic defensive maneuver with Bowser

What if my opponent just stands there waiting for ME to come? I encounter this alot. Pretty much all the time. It's annoying. I always have to go for them.

Guys, how good of a team are Falco and Bowser and what do you do as a team?

Sounds like a weak team to me, and not just because it has Bowser. Both characters suck at saving each other from getting gimped/edgeguarded, for starters.

In fact, I just can't really think of anything about this pairing that clicks besides the typical team grab-releases/combos. Anything this pairing can do, another pairing could easily do it better.

I guess one funny idea in a 2 vs. 1 situation on Battlefield would be to knock the lone guy offstage while Bowser stands at the edge breathing fire and Falco is on a platform shooting lasers. It'll be hard for them to recover high OR low, which is something, I suppose.

Seriously though, Bowser doesn't do well with a projectile teammate. Way too easy for him to accidentally get team combo'd by your partner's projectile into the enemy.

I was too late to enter doubles, but from playing against the other teams in friendlies/mms it seems like we wouldve taken about 4th/5th.

Also, X (the Sonic player) was being annoying saying he had a better Yoshi than me, so I played him in Yoshi dittos and ***** him. Then, just to add injury to insult, I almost 2 stocked his Yoshi with Bowser. Felt good man.

The other day (about two weeks ago) me and some friends I met at FB through SSB had a meeting in which we had a mini tournament (we do mini tournaments each month for a ranking, and this is the second time I joined them), I brought another friend along who came for the first time to these meetings. It went pretty well for me.

On the first match, I fought the friend I brought over and he 3-stocked my Bowser with his Kirby. I played that match horribly (I normally 2-stock him). But the other two went really well. I fought a gaw with my Yoshi and beat him. On my last match, I fought the second best of the group, a MK, and guess who I brought in? Yeah, my MK slayer, Bowser. Everyone got shocked when I beat him with Bowser and were jokingly calling Bowser the "Anti-MK" character. xd
