I think they at least owe us SOMETHING for all of the trouble we went through.
If they want to bring back some loyal fans, port Melee onto a Wii disc. Change NOTHING and add wi-fi.
There you go, nobody would play Brawl, and people would complain a lot less about lag and more about everyone using Marth + Fox.
Which... is kind of how it is now.
Go die, Marth.

It really does just sound like a scam, hypothetically.
They make the defualt Wi-fi terrible so you're forced to buy good quality.
Fft, stupid business.

The funny thing is, they either don't know the ideas or just too lazy to change wifi.

I don't think it's so much that they're lazy, they just don't have to means of doing it.
They aren't good, like Microsoft, so they can't use our connections to convert everyone's.
But if they can update the Wii Shop Channel, why not Brawl?
Jerks...

The least they could do is get a server, and not use crappy Wifi <_< And they got the money to do it, too.

I would pay if they could RE-DO the wifi. Not only eliminate lag, but give us match option with random matches. This would make it worth a bit of extra money.

Wifi is independant of brawl and shared by multiple systems, it is an entirely seperate thing. It consists of a transmitted signal that your wii recieves. If they had two seperate senders, one for paying players and one for free players, I'm sure the competitive community would be reaaaallly overjoyed
Which also means why would Nintendo fix it when its not there **** up to begin with? The programmers had internet play just fine before they shipped and when the company that ran it they ****ed up in there programming part.

I think Nintendo is just TRYING to lose the console wars.
Either that, or they just don't care about the teens that play, old people are what matter, I guess.

Err....maybe, if it's like the PS3's Wi-Fi, which is hardly lag-filled.

Nintendo is probably saying to themselves: "ehh. The wi-fi is good enough."
It makes me sad that Nintendo is becoming lazy. :(

if wifi worked well with all of Brawl+'s codes, then yes. i would.

I would definitely do that...

Of course, I'd think there should be a free one too for those who just have the game and not plan much on brawling like some of the people here would...

But as others have said, a $10-$20 a month would be more practical than a one-time fee... They'd probably forget all about it after the money is drained away by all the upkeep and they don't have any profit as incentive...

That would be like asking all of the "broken" codes (Like taunt to get Final Smash) to be enabled on Wi-fi...

Who'd want what happened to Mario Kart Wii to happen to Brawl!?

If costume and music codes are allowed, I would pay for better wifi plus that.
The Music one already works... there's a Wi-fi Version... It works if you're the host...

The codes work if all of you have it on...

However, there are ways of making it be "Wi-fi enabled" just through the code itself... there's no need to restructure Wi-fi for it...

Just reducing the lag is incentive enough for me to get into this if the slim chance of it ever happening does surprise everyone...

Yea I would, no button lag would be heavenly. Though I duno if I'd do it if it was a pay monthly thing. That would be irritating.

I would love it.
But not 40-50 bucks love it.
Possibly 20 a month? I would play a lot more online if that happened.
