Why is Ike allowed in low tier tournaments?

He is clearly a notch above the rest of the cast, and you can tell this by low tier tournament results. Low tier tournaments were meant to be fun and easy for all low tier characters (cept Ganondorf), and allowing Ike in them is completely unfair. He wins normal tournaments for crying out loud.

The current tier list has Ike at D Tier (the bottom of D Tier, at that). As in the original thread for the Tier List, Ankoku states that

ADDENDUM: Also, D Tier may be considered a borderline Middle/Low Tier. We leave it up to the Tournament Organizer's discretion on deciding whether or not to include D Tier for low tier events.

Therefore, some low tier tournaments may or may not allow D Tier (including Ike). In Illinois, for example, D Tier is usually banned from Low Tier tournaments (at least, the ones that Samurai Panda helps to run).

In my opinion, low tier tournaments should have their own low-tier tier list. Tink (get it...my main?) about it like this: in a LTT, Ness will never have to fight a Marf. Understandably he's still bad, but having gigantic matchups that suck taken away helps.
Now look at Falcon. He sucks, even against the low tiers. He should go below Link in the LTT list.

Because Ike has no advanced techniques that can be done universally (DACIT needs items, for example), or have any use (LOL @ thinking CounterDraw is anything but flashy). He is a simple character but he dominates in an environment where his weaknesses cannot be abused, and his strengths can be spammed without much worry.

Ike is low on the tier list because of horrible top tier matchups, however he has etremely excellent MU for low tiers. This causes a huge unbalance in low tier tournaments. However most people see low tier as a side event and nto an actual metagame and wont be worked to create a balanced tier
