From a purely curious standpoint, which matchups do you think Fox has a disadvantage in?

In this age of Melee, there isn't a such thing as "OP." Maybe Sheik was "OP" in '03, and maybe Marth was "OP" when M2K was just bodying spacies left and right. And maybe Jiggs was "OP" when Mango ***** with her. But not really. And especially not now.

&& if you really think Fox is "too good" when there are 4 characters in top tier you kinda need to re-evaluate what "too good" means. not even Meta Knight is too good and he's in his own ****ing tier.

I guess I entered competitive Melee SUPER late then, because when I first watched that video, I wasn't exactly sure that I saw the magic in it that inspired so many Fox mains. But I respect it and the player nonetheless, for the impact.

I'll elaborate on that for myself. I saw that video 2-3+ years ago. It was my first Melee video I had ever seen. Before then, I had only played the game a few times and was content with my skill level. After I saw the video however, I immediately noticed that Zelgadis was a lot faster and understood how moves flowed a lot better than I did. I learned that playing Fox gave you options of killing people with a minimal amount of well placed attacks, or you could combo the **** out of someone until your fingers gave out. Not too long after, I lost interest with Zelgadis and Shined Blind/Evolution.

Then came Zelghandi. I was so inspired. I didn't realize how fast Fox could be until I saw that. I focused solely on tech skill when I had the chance.

I kind of lost interest in Melee though and have since been desensitized to the level of execution certain things require with the exception of Silent Wolf and Lovage and Mango.

I still play Fox sometimes though, because being in the zone with Fox is probably the best feeling I've ever had in Smash.

First started off playing Fox a long *** time ago because I'm a big a SF64 fan. Once me and my friends actually started playing the game seriously (when we weren't ****ing 12 anymore, haha) he wasn't really flowing for me. One of my friends was experimenting with C. Falcon at the time and I eventually followed suit. He later switched to main Falco, but I stuck with it. Been kneeing ever since.

And seriously if you ask any Falcon main if there's a thing in this world more satisfying than a 0-death techchase -> stomp -> knee they'll tell you it's like when you figured out how to ****ing **** off.

Which is effectively what you're doing anyway I guess, except all over your opponent's forehead.

Falco Lombardi is a pretty cool guy. eh sort jop lazur and doesn't afraid of anything.
Oh, and because the combo factor is so overwhelmingly sexy.
It only feels natural to play Falco
