I new some1 would say that lmaoo

Javi is good really good best vs falco hands down but he has to do it more then 1 time for him to be placed on a top ten list Or even best fox he has to do it more then 1 time and I'm not saying I'm the best fox anymore cause I no I'm not I'm rusty and ****ty now

For example when at pound 4 when this guy (i forgot his name lol) got third with shiek and he was like top ten on everybody list

Where is he now on every1 list >_>

Smashboards people r dumb

I thought he said he forgot Amsah's name to emphasize how 'flavor-of-the-month' certain players have been in terms of inclusion within the top 10 circles. Or he legitimately forgot. I was 50/50 on it.

I personally don't think I should be ranked in the top 10 simply because my tournament results I suck but I guess I'm popular.

hmm, Jman does speak a pretty solid truth. Few things that I think he didnt take in consideration when posting what he did is that these lists that people have been making are supposed to be based on simply the year 2012. So yeah that Random Sheik(Amsah) who got 3rd at a Pound 4 or whatever it was, the fact that he's not featured on any of these lists doesnt surprise me.

With that being said, I do also agree that when he's says that we the noobs, losers etc, So basically the people like me, that we truly dont know entirely what we're talking about, however, it is somewhat obvious who the clear cut choices are.

if only top players are allowed to have opinions these threads would be boring as f*** cuz all the top players basically suck each others d***s cuz our community is mad soft

edit: by suck each others di*cks i mean everyone respects everyone so if we left it up to u guys we'd have a bunch of mr. miyagi love and peace koombiya threads, and none of the hilarity that occured in this thread. thats all im sayain.

Hey, you don't have to know string theory to know that gravity pulls you down.
Non-expert players can have valid opinions based on results without understanding the complex techskill and mindgames that is giving these people their results.

Wasn't the last time you placed outside of top 5, at Pound 5?

I don't think people are rating you in top 5 because you're popular. There is a strong case that you're that good. Especially if we're basing it on only this year, we're you got top 5 Apex and defeated the second best player in the country.

You're awesome man.

When this guy (me) come 2nd and beating Mango at Genesis and I was consider top ten back then (in most peoples mind)

Where Im right now? Tell me :p

Don't wanna sound arrogant or anything but I needed to use that to maybe have a chance to explain my point. First of all, Amsah did place kinda good at Pound V aswell even if it wasn't close to Pound 4. So I guess most people saw him as a top ten player even after Pound V. Nowadays he seems rusty and I really hope he has the motivation to work hard to still be one of the best.

I know you can say many was considering me top ten after Pound 4/Apex or something else. I think it is kinda unfair when a player like Javi in this case actually TRY to prove themselfs in a different country and that is hella hard (especially when it is USA).

Javi maybe not is that high and it is hard to tell after one tournament. But after doing better then ANY fox main (don't count Mango cause he switch between spacies all the time) have for many years (the most recent thing I can remember was you at Pound 4 with your 5th place).

Well hope you understood my point a bit at least. You should really go to more tournaments man cause you are ****ing awesome. Really hope to see you next time Im coming to USA (no idea when that will be atm).

Armada you're on that higher level ****. I NEVER thought I would see YL rise to the top and be played in a huge international GF set. So much admiration for your iron will in breaking the puff.

He wasn't at apex tho lol. Maybe you're mistaking Javi's friend / translator that was with him, for twin?

Twin and Javi are identical twins so you won't make that mistake lol.

Maybe I was mistaken then. There were 3 of them there and I know his translator didn't play much, so idk who the third dude was.

I could have been drunk playing friendlies in my hotel room at apex when I learned this.

Like ajp said, we dont have to play in the nba in order to shoot the breeze about who's gonna win the nba campionship.

If you're so high and mighty and above us then jus stay out of the thread

I can do what I want within the rules of the site, you mad? It's not if I'm so high and mighty, it's just stupid to talk about it, it reveals nothing it's empty conjecture that leads to nothing. We aren't children that need to feel the need to say: "OMG, I'm better than you, suck it"

Most of the discussions in most threads lead to nothing, so why post? Might be because some find it amusing, for whatever purpose, whether it be trollin, talking about why your smash idol is better then <insert player here>. Or because at this very point we have nothing better to do.

I dont know about you guys, but because I work at a call center with internet access, Smashboards, is my savior, because I can rant about a game and people I like, respect and one day hope to meet(referring to people). So who really cares if it leads to nothing? Your posting in these discussions arent you?

Such conjectures can be fun for people, and obviously they do interest quite a few, given the number of posts in this thread. I don't see why it's that big a deal, it's something that's done constantly in sports and pretty much any other competitive setting.

Edit : Also, telling someone he's crazy is way too easy. Either he answers yes, and in fact he is crazy, or he disagrees and that makes him all the more crazy. There's no point in doing that.

^^Not at all true. It may say less than people think, but if Inui logic was entirely fallacious we'd have no valid way at all of comparing players' skill.
