So I have used alot of different controllers over these last few years and came to conclusion that different colors feel different, respond different than others or thats just what i think.

here is my tier list for the different color controllers

1st Black - best grip, control sticks are great, and last long
2nd Purple - everything the black controller has besides the grip seems to be a bit different for me
3rd - white - this would be the best controller but they always seem to malfunction for some reason after a short period of time
4th- orange- these are hard to find and they seem to malfunction easier than the rest, but besides that the grip is good, plus everything else
5th Silver- i hate the grip on these and the rubber on every single silver controller i ever had always comes off,. when they are new they are great but it seems like they wear out fast.

remember this is just what i think i want to hear what other people prefer

Different controllers have different grip sizes, but I'm not certain how different they react. That'd be really neat if someone found out this type of info.

Another interesting part of controllers is you can greatly decrease the weight if you take the rumble out.

Anywho, I love my silver controller.

White controllers also have longer cables that all the others IIRC, Definitely longer than the black/purple ones though

black ones are smaller, white ones have longer cords, and there is no known difference between orange, platinum, and indigo. i use a black one for tournaments, because it just feels right and black is sexy. the cord on the white one is usually annoying to wrap up. i would have to say my favorite would be the superman controller which is an indigo controller, with half of it painted red. looks sick. i also am going to paint a light pink controller soon.

i use a silver/clear controller

i feel weird using controllers that don't have a silver front. idk why, it may be because of the texture of the paint.

all my controllers are very very very heavily frankensteined anyway

i usually prefer really new abxy buttons (love clicks), newest possible control stick padding, and really really worn in R buttons (very very subtle click)

As a color preference with nothing else taken into consideration, the orange controllers look the best imo

I've only ever owned purple controllers though, they operate great and last forever. The silver controller i got recently didnt work right out of the box. meh

White controllers are great. I <3 the enormously long cord.

Mine hasn't malfunctioned yet, and I've had it for 6 months.

best controller: Emerald Blue, only released in japan *****es.

but for real... its pretty tight.. but i still need to break it in a bit more befor i use it in a tournament...

every other controller i have used besides it have been silvers.. and i find them pretty decent.. but they do wear away to nothing fast.

My purple controller has been used at least once a week since 2001.
The only problem I have ever had was sticky buttons for a couple weeks
Cleaned it, and it's still near good as new.

Out of the box the black, orange, and purple ones are better than the silver and white ones but everyone has controller surgery done eventually anyway.

I've got the black controller that came with my GameCube when I bought it. I've always liked it, and I've tried all the others except white.

they are ok. the fangasm you get from actually owning one is better than the quality of the controller itself though.. it certianly feels durable though

symponia conch's look soooo dirty.

Definitely a wavebird.........just kidding.

I used a platinum one until about 7 months ago and now I have a white one which I have no complaints about.

Oh, and if you think that the deal on amazon.com is a good one for two orange controllers for about 20 bucks, don't do it. They're not official and the L and R buttons suck immensely.

My controller's purple and black. But that's the cover. I used a black internal pad. The stick is slightly worn out (I like it this way) where the slightest touch on the stick has a reaction in game. I guess you can call it super sensitive. I also took out my rumble pack because I HATE rumble and it's just a distraction. Plus it makes the controller a hellava lot lighter.
