My mans Weslo on the first page has one. The back is black so he has a mr L controller. His controller stick is black too.

Purple controllers feel the best imo, but I use a red controller.

I always get 4 controllers of different colors, and I gave away my gamecube and 2 controllers upon getting my wii, so I have experience with 2 blacks, orange, silver, purple, and an off-brand matcatz 20% smaller controller I got got for my sister who had freakishly small hands. I had always used the silver controller exclusively for Melee, actually having gotten it new for my first tournament. I've used it until the L/R buttons and control stick all got worn to the point where it was messing up tech skill. After that, I started to switch between purple/black, which for some reason I like a lot more. My controller tiers would have to be:
top:
Black (perfect...)
Purple (seems a bit stiffer to me, not in a good way, still good though)
high:
Silver (seems a tiny bit harder to grip... Maybe because of the paint)
mid:
Orange (always felt weird to me, the control stick seemed looser from the beginning for some reason, though it may just be mine.)
low:
Wavebirds (I don't like the extra weight or messing with batteries/channels)
bottom:
360 Controller (I've been playing it with dolphin, and I can't wavedash or do assorted other techs with it, it feels clunky, even though I can set it up to be very similar to gamecube controls, complete with C-stick. I actually prefer the 360 controller to the N64 controller for smash 64 though, probably just because it doesn't kill my thumb XD)

white sucks. at first the L/R buttons scrape if you press them indirectly. thats why my two-tone controller *****. the black back fixes that =] and it gives that grip that im so accustomed too
1. black-****
2. transparent-still **** but not perfect grip like the black. has a desireable back for LED mods
3. indigo-not perfect grip but still decent
4. white-similar grip of indigo, but the L/R buttons scrape
5. platinum-doesnt suck, but the buttons feel wierd to me + bad grip

I always loved the black one it just felt right.My black one is way to loose to play without straining my hands.I have an extra one that is brand new but it came with a bad control stick.
