I saw him last night, it was amazinggg

built to spill (you will probably like this if you like bright eyes. because they are better)
I say if you like Bright Eyes, go with The Good Life better. They're more up that alley than Built To Spill. Built To Spill is incredible in their own right though so you should definitely listen to them, especially "I Would Hurt A Fly"; it's an incredible song.

Pretty Girls Makes Graves are good.

She Wants Revenge has a weird but cool atmosphere. Kinda serial killer **** but I like.

Mars Volta was mentioned but not At The Drive-In which is really a shame since I think they're better. Napoleon Solo is a ****ing great song.

If you liked TBB, listen to Neon Blonde. P introduced me to some of them and I really liked them; they're like a "calmer" BB.

Cursive is ****. Definitely listen to them. Domestica and The Ugly Organ are their best albums.

Metric if you haven't heard of them yet.

Oh, and if you like Metric, listen to Emily Haines and the Soft Skeletons.

That's about it I think.

Don't forget good 'ol Hall & Oates. They've been solid performers since the 70's and still going strong. Here's some of their best.

Mike, who are your favorite classical composers and what era/style of classical do you like?

I've played the trumpet for 8 years and made All-state honor band (CBDA) several times while I was in high school and middle school. I love classical and jazz but unfortunately I'm not pursuing it in school or as a career :(

MIKE HAZE! I hope that was your usual sarcasm joke. NO llist with muse is allowed to be called terrible.

if you like ambient chillout and WELL mixed electronica i suggest DJ River. This man is Freakin amazing. Just download his mixes on his site. http://www.djriver.com/

shane you mock mainstream but provide albums with plenty of mainstream stuff on it, like Ian Van Dahl..that's as mainstream as ya can get ^_^ Mainstream electronica: tiesto, oakenfold, atb, van burrn, ferry corsten, ian van dahl, paul van dyk, carl cox, infected mushroom, chemical brothers, etc. underground: nu nrg, mark strube, the one i linked you to above, marcus schulz, DJ EGGZ, etc ;)

I like it all though. Easy way to find popular (ie, you prob will enjoy the sound of it) trance music is:

but in all reality, i dont like lists because what i'm looking for is like.

okay you know how majority of people have that one band that they absolutely can't get enough of? that's what i'm looking for.

lists kind of take away from that.

but then again i can always experiment and whatnot

muse is that kind of merely decent rock that can't be the first name you throw out around people who really know music because they're going to think everything you like is like that so it discredits your taste

but muse is good. their early stuff.

If you're looking for rock and don't have Nirvana yet, get on that.

Ben Folds Five is awesome if you're into piano rock.

If you ask for "good music" in a public forum, 95% of the suggestions are going to be **** you don't like. You should know what you are capable of liking, so go find and ask the appropriate people for their suggestions.

If you do end up liking almost 100% of the **** suggested here, then you probably didn't need help from anyone to begin with.

Anyways, I have a few questions of my own:
What's a good movie to watch? Who's the funniest comedian? What's a good type of food to eat? What's a good religion to get into?

Thanks ahead of time guys.
