Ew I can't believe so many people are still trying to make brawl melee 2.0.

**** kids and their hacking devices.

Just for the record, I do not and did not use wavedashing or L-Canceling in Melee or Brawl... I Simply hack the codes for the challenge and as a hobby. Now, if you think that I'm a "**** kid with a hacking device", the least you could do is learn to ask a person on what they think before making comments as such - or else you'll end up sounding like a **** kid who gets a kick out of flaming people who try to have fun and allow others to have fun at the same time...

please lrn2growup and lrn2livewithit...

(and quite frankly, I'm pretty good at brawl - I don't know how much because I really don't care about comparing myself to other people - especially kids who get a kick out of flaming others who play for fun)

Well, for now, I don't think a hitstun code is necessary, I'm content with the WD code right now.

I still want L-cancelling... Or even Z-cancelling would be AMAZING.

I mean, SSB64 had ridiculous hitstun AND no-lag aerials. Melee had decent hitstun and low-lag aerials. I want to see a game with no hitstun and no lag, just to try it out. I think it could be crazy fun. Plus, Metaknight's main asset (his lack of lag) would be nullified by the fact that NOBODY has lag now. Snake could get a bit cheesy, but honestly the startup on his moves isn't so great. Link was TOO fun in SSB; I loved having that wall-of-pain type Dair.

Phantom Wings, as I understand it, your current code allows you to hold L/R during an aerial, and if you land while it's held, it cancels ALL lag? Could you PLEASE give this code to us? I know I would have a lot of fun with it.

look back at my other post,
just one though olimars grab would be the most unbalanced thing ever, it already had huge range and was fast, now he could activate it from even further away, and it doesn't have hardly any lag. just one

As far as I know, there isn't any places that could go wrong(no ASM), but what this code basically does is allow you to shield any time during the landing animations(which was, actually, what I thought L-Canceling was based on)... Silly me.:laugh:

Though you might want to test it out in MMB, it might inadvertently allow the alloys to shield which may cause the game to freeze - but that's just speculation.

Anyways, I think I may stop hacking SSBM like codes for now. I'm getting kinda' bored with it all...

All that aside, no one STILL found a way to for 6 player? :O
C'mon, it can't be that hard. I want 6 player and then I can die happy.

PS, where can you get Ocarina or whatever? And does this work for the GC version of Twilight Princess

I want a Crouch Cancelling code, now that I think about it. But you dont need to do it really... It's a suggestion...

Metaknight has **** near no landing lag.

I second that, how does l-canceling increase others lag time?
Clearly he meant lag increasing? >_>;

L-canceling will not really help in brawl since most characters already have lagless attacks. We need to fix the airdodging out of everything IMO.

People thinking about adding hitstun, You probably don't even need it as much as before now (probably just need a small amount but nothing big). Most people got out of "combos" because multiple airdodges were allowed. Now that you can only airdodge once, you either have these choices:

1. Try to attack him while he's trying to combo you.
2. DI to prevent getting combo'd even more.
3. Airdodge and make yourself vulnerable for another, maybe more powerful, attack

So, thinking about the options you have left, unless you have an attack that is going to beat out your opponent's (Marth & Snake maybe?), then you're still going to get combo'd.

God forbids CC, its the most broken and cheapest "technique" in melee. I kinda agree that increase hitstun MAY increase MK "brokenness," but to add CC to the formula, then i can safely conclude that you really do have yourself an autowin.

lol i can imagine these options to look alot like melee hit stun. You dont have much protection in midair now. you have a point.

you are amazing and have continued to add to the increasingly amazing code base for Brawl. Keep it up and I hope that you find another fun and challenging way to hack Brawl. MMO Brawl? SSE Online? :laugh: - Nintendo should hire you. srsly.
side note: I'll try to post a vid of a match using wavedashing. Can't wait to try tomorrow!

Btw I just did a falling Fair to Jab or Ftilt combo with Snake. It's too sexy!!

edit #2: do a short hop Nair then GRAB with Snake!


edit #3: You may want to add a half the land lag you normally get from a non-auto canceled aerial cuz some attacks chain into grabs very easily making the game broken.

All we need is a hack to make captain falcon soar in the air when he jumps with momentum again. Oh and "un-nerf" his f-air.

Or just make it harder to do. Like make it do a press rather than holding. And if it does a full L-cancel make it hard to do.

I know it was possible in SSB64, but it was crazy hard to pull off, but it killed all lag.
