Well my mates who play AO are getting it.
Them said:
its a fantasy mmo incorporating flight combat, 6 different classes with unique toolsets and roles in a group, with an emphasis on pvp as a major part of the game, although pve also plays a large roll. (I asked if it was like AO) from what ive read, the classes have strong similarities, allowing for the genre, for example the assassin is like a shade. also tell him i thought the "funcom at the office" video was hilarious
EDIT: Haha Bob check out the end of your OP in the tournament listings thread. :p

I dont find Powershielding to be as effective as taking out a bomb or supplying my own barrage of projectiles.
Toon link is a completly diffrent character in playstlye to the other ones. That is why i can't play other characters to well as i always forget to grab with them.

Since when you play toon link grabbing isn't really somthing you tend to do all the time. The bombs are just to epic. Infact i don't think you ever hardly see a toon link even shielding.

No.

Falco vs Sheik: expect the timer to be run out ^_^

We need 1 more TV and 1 more wii + brawl to complete the 8 (assuming that Jupz brings his setup and Elton brings his TV)

Looking forward to trying out Brawl+ Trav ;)

Im sorry but as Trav pointed look at Bob's post on the tournament listings. I really think when people read
"Just scream you have aids at your opponent and keep touching them at awkward intervals_"

Theyll avoid us lol

Edit: So on a very broad question that I got from a convo.
"You know I still remember waking up one day, 9/11. Went to watch Cheese TV, instead saw a special news report on it and my only reaction was "What? I want to watch Card Captor Sakura".

Did anyone else have that reaction?

Having a sense of humour should be a prerequisite to attending one of our tournaments:p

Cheese TV was indeed awesome. I can't help but wonder where those guys ended up :c

Normally for stuff like that (like the last War in iraq) I got annoyed about missing my cartoons, but I didn't over 9/11. It just seemed bizzare to me.

I remeber watching it every morning. I would always watch pokemon and dragon ball z. I did get pissed of how it took goku so many episodes to charge up his spirit bomb. Then he was still powering it up on a friday and had to wait until monday to see if he was actually going to kill that thing.

It's good to hear we have 7 t.v's and wii's so far. If i am ever vsing a D3 on yohsi island melee i might have to pull out the secret move. ;)

Once again a simple sentence of remeber watching cheese t.v is going to flip the next few pages into a whole new topic. Our thoughts are endless.

I remeber seeing it once as a kid that teknoman but can't remeber it well. I remeber borrowing videos of astro boy when i was young at the video shop thought. =D

Does anyone remeber seeing sailor moon on cheese t.v? That show was pretty epic lol. Had a catchy intro maybe thats why i remeber it so much and that mysterious guy who was always wearing that black had and a cape. I also remeber waking up really early to watch cheese t.v and before it started they always had this exercise show on.

OMG this is really coincidental, in English I've watched 2 movies about 9/11, 'Loose Change' and something else which I can't remember.

...D3 can't CG toon link up the hill on the right side.

Plus, toon link ***** at Yoshis island Melee.
Really? I've managed to chaingrab Toon Link up the right side. Are you doing dashing chaingrab without shield cancelling?

It was even worse because the episode before was a cliff hanger where some card knocked her out on the train and its like "END OF EP" and then.. =[.

And Sailor Moon was awesome, it was all like "Moon tiara power!", then there was Tuxedo Mask who kept getting brain washed and such which was always lol. I think I quit watching around the evil Sailor Scouts appeared, which was near the end of the show...I really need to rewatch it.

Another thing, I never watched DBZ at first due to the theme sucked "Dragon Dragon, rock the dragon" Anyway yeah one day I didnt turn it off and saw Goku vs Ginyu Force and I'm like "Yeah this is cool"

And yeah, teknoman sounds familiar..But that's it.

Edit: And for your entertainment, my day.

6am Wake up
6:30am Making Breakfast, an egg broke in my hand.
7am Leave for TAFE, crowded train/bus with crying child
8am Waiting for Bookshop to buy TAFE book, the shop opened late
8:30am TAFE starts, stupid beard guy wouldn't shut up.
9:30am Bought a coke and Skittles from those 20c machines. The skittles jumped over my hand and the coke was flat.
11am Lunch, I temporarily forgot how to use chopsticks and dropped some chicken, then I went to get a drink and squeezed the mocha, it flew out the straw onto me.
11:30am Class starts again, ironically I found a trap door in our class with a massive hole in it, I think thieves used to live in that building and it was a secret escape.
1pm Break, stupid beard guy wouldn't shut up again.
1:30pm Next class, another boring one.
3:30pm Leave tafe for a job interview, bus is late thus I was late
5pm Interview is over, I turn on my phone and have a text complaining, another one saying I'm heartless for not replying
5:10pm Arrive at Fremantle Train Station
5:10pm Get on the 99.....Did I say 99? Oh it was the 98 with a wrong sign, I didn't realise till I was on the other side of Fremantle since I was playing DS
5:20pm Get off bus and walk back, get caught in downpour.
5:40pm Get on the 160.
5:50pm Bus Breaks down
6pm Bus is working again
6:20pm Arrive at Canning Bridge Station, put $3 in a vending machine which registers at $1.10...The refund button didn't work
6:50pm Arrive at home.
7:10pm Started this.

Feels so good getting tommorow of school aswell that means a whole 5 days with no school but i will go back on Monday. Have to catch up on loads.

As for my final opinion on subjects i am going:

English 2a/b
Maths 2a/b
Religion and life 1c/d
Design: Technical graphics 1c/d
Visual arts 2a/b
Design: Photography Forgot the level but theres only one anyway.

:D

As for my uni days you all have to wait until some more years past and i will be making post like that. I don't think i'll be very active after year 12 though. Maybe start of year 11 or 12 actually.

I went to the UWA open day last weekend and I have a little idea of what I would like to do. I love maths and physics, so I want to do something like engineering. Not sure what types yet, maybe electrical or chemical.

Another thing I have looked at doing that I think would be incredibly fun is quantum physics. It deals with like other dimensions and atoms, electrons and stuff. My physics teacher teaches us a little stuff about it in spare class time, its really interesting. After todays lesson I have a question for you guys:

If no-one is looking at something, is it really there?

Prove to me that hawaii exists.
Can you supply sufficient irrefutable evidence that hawaii exists?
It's possible that everything we have ever learned about hawaii is a complete fabrication.
Questioning hawaii's existence is irrelevant and redundant. It doesnt matter if its there or not, if nobody ever sees or interacts with something then its existence is irrelevant.

I love philosophy, I do it as a subject at school. Questions like the one above constantly pop up, and we have a lot of discussion/debates about them, it's really interesting.

Fun fact for Jupz: My dad is a chemical engineer and works for BP

I 'like' it how something bad happens in every time slot Marty :p

EDIT:

Since Alzi did, I might as well post up my current subject selections for year 11:

Japanese
Maths 3A/B
Literature 2A/B
Chemistry 2A/B
Physics 2A/B
Philosophy 2A/B

Woah awesome :p Does he enjoy it?

Btw yeah I love things like that. Like did you know that electrons exist at many places at once in the universe at the same time. And there not really particles but "waves of probability". If you look up recent experiments you can see that electrons do not behave as particles and so do not really "exist". They are simply fuzzy little patches of probable energy. And what I find wierd is they can give energy to themselves from the future, and when they get to that future time give it back.

Did you know that 99.999% of everything is empty space? If you get a circle with 400m radius, put an orange in the middle and a flea on the outside occupying the remaining space you will have a scale of an hydrogen atom. The orange is the nucleus (in this case just a proton) and the flea is an electron. So then how do we touch stuff if 1/10000 of everything is just empty space? How do our electrons interact with others? I was thinking about it and I came to the conclusion that it must be some sort of field of probability that because it is almost 100% that you will find the desk solid, it happens. Then remember electrons aren't really "real" as such but are simply patches of probable energy.

Btw, this is proof that there is no such thing as fate or destiny. There is every possibility.

Thats why I want to do something like quantum physics so I can find out what the universe really is, not what we think is "real". But I might have to go to sydney university.

also woah you guys have more subjects then us lol. what im doing this year:

2ab english
3ab maths (rediculously easy)
2ab geography (LOL subject)
chem 2ab (easy but fun)
physics (fun)
maths specialist (challenging and fun )

also i got straight A's lolz

That brings to mind something interesting i heard about when talking to a mate of mine who is a physics student at uni. He mentioned something called electron tunneling. Apparently if you run at a brick wall there is an extremely low possibility that the electrons in your body will travel through it. I dont know if he was just babbling on and making stuff up or not, but it sounds kinda cool.

This is why i hate science. The only thing i like is chemistry but i don't need that for my future job so i am choosing relivant subjects that all lead on to it.

As for the tourney crew battles are so much fun.

Jupz you have 6 subjects just like us. Except it seems like you don't have to do religion. Religion is such a waste of time though seriously you could throw in another subject and replace that. But oh well.

lol are you in year 10?

all the stuff they teach you in lower school is bull****. (same with the stuff they teach us in upper school, but this wasnt in the course)

if you're doing physics next year you'll understand (or maybe my teachers just really cool and teaches us more stuff :p )

also yeah religion must suck lol you can only do 5 subjects? woah that must really suck :(

also yeah technically muzga hes probably right though i dont know much about it. he wouldnt make it up. seriously no experience in our little minds can comprehend what really happens. people who haven't learned this stuff and don't try then claim they know what really happens in the universe I don't have much respect for. same with people who think they can comprehend things. Did you know the LARGEST number any human in the world can comprehend its true size is 10 million. and some people say they can understand how big the number of a mole is (anyone who does chem should know what a mole is lol, its 6.022x10^23 i think). if you filled the whole of australia with grains of rice and it towered 1km high over every inch of australia, then you would have a mole of rice grains :) think about how many rice grains it would take to just fill your house. trillions :p

try to wrap your minds around this :p

also lol i had a normal maths test yesterday it was pretty lulzy me and one of my friends beat the teachers score on the test :| i got 98% lol just didnt simplify one thing down
