Really? Because the majority of MI lives, at minimum, 30 minutes away from each other, and only a couple have their own cars. I guess there is Ann Arbor, but Zinoto always worries about his damn schooling so it's just Roller playing scrubs.

Yes it was stupid for him to say Indiana is MW:W, but honestly how was he supposed to remember that Indiana was a state?
I wish I lived 30 minutes away from people to play with :(

The closest I live to anyone that plays smash besides Betadyne is an hour away. Lexington is the only place in Kentucky that has any chance to practice with one another at all. Louisville has two people, me and Betadyne. :v.

Here is how "awesome" the people of Ohio are:

Oh boy...instead of building a railroad system the goes through Toledo, Columbus, and Cincinatti (which would strengthen the smash community in Ohio), let's build a ****ing casino. Well played X_X. I understand why, but still it's disheartening.

I didn't know Indiana was a state, until I went to Bloomington, so I just call Indiana Bloomington: Indiana?

3.5 to 4 hours (NEOH) away from where I am, Columbus.
2 hours.

And you just described what it's like from anyone to travel to a different zone in MI. I was only referring to SE MI with the 30 minutes and for some of them it's an hour to get to the closest person.

And a good bit of our population doesn't drive or can't drive to these places. We are getting Fizzle starting in the Fall though.
So what you're overall trying to say is that it's the exact same in OH as it is in MI.

If that's the case, yes.

But like HarmS said, Ann Arbor at the very least has it pretty well. I wish Columbus and OSU was more like that.

Yeah AA is good but that's because it's a college. I'm pretty sure Ohio has those. AA would suck right now if we didn't get Zinoto into the scene. Maybe you Ohio college guys need to find people.

You would think, but....no. Most of OSU plays Melee, not Brawl. As for other colleges, alot of them don't play smash period. Fizzle will be going to OSU in the Fall though.

I mean it's not like all the cute guys live there or anything.
And Texas, GOD KAIS

I'm not aware of a lot of stuff in the community since I haven't been active, but as far as I know, a lot of us are really spread out. Everything is at least an hour away from everything else and with few drivers and the price of gas, who would even want to do all that driving all the time? INB4 public trans, it costs the same or more.

I'm the only one who plays at University of Cincinnati. >_> Today goes here as well, but she no longer plays. There's a 'Smash Club' here, but it's inactive as hell lawl.

Indiana University used to have a smash group but now we all play real fighting games instead.
It's a blessing and a curse.

To be fair Indiana hasn't really been a state brawl-wise since like the first year of the game. Everyone grew up and moved on, or lives in Huntington. That IU Basketball tho? We in there

Just because they aren't on Smashboards doesn't mean there aren't players. You think there aren't 4 people in your entire colleges that play Brawl?

I've actually graduated from DeVry. When i was there, we had some smash players, but they don't play competitively and play other games. Capital University is more into the shooting game scene. blah blah blah blah blah OSU plays melee blah blah blah.

Pretty much, the people that have played smash in the past and present either:

1) Don't play it anymore
2) Played it, but not interested in playing competively
3) Play other games

There may be 4 people in an entire college that plays Brawl, but it doesn't mean that they are any good or that they want to play competively. All it does is help you go through the motions, which you can do anytime when you're at home.

Currently, Columbus is regrowing the brawl scene where we're going to host more smashfests and tournaments. We have been putting up facebook pages and spreading the word. We do have like 5 people that play, but they rarely making out to the wednesday smashfests X_X

So much editing to all of my posts. My job ****s up my grammar :(

I'm well aware of IN's location on a map. However I see him attending more MWW tourneys than MWE. IN doesn't host tourneys much, and he doesn't come to MI ones, pretty sure he goes to IL/WI tourneys most frequently.

And Kentucky/Ohio players should be the LAST ones refuting this ****.

Someone could point on a map at where Kel, an "Ohio" player lives. And in fact, it would be the same exact place as where Kass, a "Kentucky" player lives. And it is most definitely not inside Ohio's borders. Yet he is still on the OH PR despite moving prior to it's creation.

Having 2 people living in the same house being labeled as 2 different states is way more geographically egregious than what I said.

The community someone associates with isn't always exactly the same as what their geographic location would have you believe.

I agree that Cinci's alcohol is sub-par. Also, I will admit that Ohio's alcohol overall is not as good as, let's say, PA...but it's in NO WAY diluted. Columbus and NEOH has some nice alcohol....still better than VA when I visited......yuck.

Being legal for two months and still never been slightly drunk should be evidence at how awful Ohio alcohol is.

I don't know what you guys are talking about with alcohol being more or less alcoholic depending on the state. Just come to rural Kentucky and ask the guy with the beard and suspenders if he has any in his tub, then water it down or you'll go blind.

@ Roller - I'd take our current PR with a grain of salt, it's mad outdated at this point lol. Half of the players don't live here anymore/are inactive, so we'll be starting it anew once tournament frequency increases.

Oh, you don't have to tell me that. It's quite obvious it is almost entirely pointless right now. lol

But Kel is still considering himself OH, and last I heard, still intends to stay on the PR when it finally gets updated. (Which you guys should really get on, btw. It probably wouldn't be too hard to make)

On the contrary, it'll be even more difficult to make. On top of a lack of general state activity compared to the past, we now do not have a clear cut number 1 player (and a rather solidified top 5 at that). There were always slight changes made within the top 5 but the majority have always been to 6-10 and the HMs. With this in mind, the best course of action may be to wait at least another event or two, see who participates and how they perform, and base the new list on that. Top 5 or top 8 instead of top 10 may also be more appropriate. We'll definitely get on it soon, we just need a little more to go on.

Does BR no longer live in Ohio? Because if he's still here, he's definitely our best. After that it's pretty even between KB, myself, Tako, Kel and Sorasin.

Man, you Ohio people are so delusional. All I heard at Vengeance is how even everybody is with each other. Tako is your best and you are all not even. I'd give it to AZ but he has only gone to one tournament so that should make him ineligible

I agree with WTP. Tako is probably above everyone you listed that isn't Blue Rogue.

Did Shugo just quit or leave Ohio or something? o_O'.

Lumi from that list I can tell what your PR is most likely
1. Sneaky
2. Blue Rouge
3. Kel
4. AZ
5. KB
6. Lumi
HM 1: MX
HM 2: SoraSin

MX beat Mister Eric at Vengeance and if he isn't HM idk what you guys view as a good player.

I'm loling that this has become a OH PR discussion

I will be posting shoutouts from this when I'm not on my phone.
