I would organize more events, but I am busy with school and it is slightly annoying to deal with the free venue

I'm going to start running cheap tourneys with low entry fees so we can try to whip our region into shape. I want to do some variety things too.

I was thinking:

Double elim. Tourney
tenkaiichi
crew battles


let me know what kind of tourneys you guys want to see.

If one of the brawl kids wants to help and organize some things for brawlers (different kinds of tourneys this would be helpful.

Also if anyone is down i want to do a round robin tourney over break (thursday, friday or saturday?) let me know if anyone is interested. Kind of like a ranbats with no entry fee just a kinda play everyone thing.

Time never permits in a day tourney for the reigon. It's not particularly surprising or anything. If you want it you gotta FORCE IT.

How long would a crew match take anywho? It doesn't seem *that* long.

Bad news first, no smash or people at the apartment for the next 2 days. thursday and Friday. the reason is that we are having an inspection for the apartment and cannot be having mad amount of people here.

NO ENTRY FEE
BRING SETUPS (we have two)

•Round Robin (If a lot of people may be come double elim)
•4 stock
•2/3 sets
•8 minute time limit
•Ties broken by lives, then %

Starter Stage List:
-Dream Land: Fountain of Dreams
-Past Stages: Dream Land
-Special Stages: Final Destination
-Special Stages: Battlefield
-Yoshi's Island: Yoshi's Story

Counter Stage List:
-Kanto: Pokemon Stadium
-Planet Zebes: Brinstar
-Mushroom Kingdom: Rainbow Cruise
-Past Stages: Kongo Jungle


Redwood Counter Pick System
1. Blind Picks character selection.
2. Stage Striking: Players eliminate stages from the Starter Stage List until only 1 remains, and the players then play the first match on that stage. Players strike stages in 1 2 2 1 order.
3. The first match is played.
4. Winning player of the preceding match bans a stage.
5. The losing player of preceding match picks stage for the next match.
6. The winning player of preceding match picks character.
7. The losing player picks character.
8. The next match is played.
9. Repeat 4-8 for all consecutive matches as necessary until the set is complete.

Due to some random issues, I won't be coming back up to Rochester this quarter most likely. So I'm looking for some people who want to step up and help out with making smash club still run. I'll be up in Rochester, most likely, on the 10th. So I'll be running smash club on friday night as usual.
