Anybody know the directions of how to get to the building from North I35? Like which exit and turns to take to get there. We'll be leaving sometime around 12 and showing up about 2ish.

This may be too late but basically you can take the MLK exit, go north on San Jacinto, left onto 24th street, then left onto speedway and there should be a free parking spot available in front of Welch on speedway about here.

You guys should come. I was hoping that our club would be a place where smashers of all levels and game-preference could meet, play and learn from each other, improve, and have fun.

i did pretty decent overall, beating an MK main but losing to cursed ike jabbing again xp
too much wifi i guess

and i guess they never did have livestream up

This was fun. It was very refreshing to play more than just Marths all day >.>

Next time I hope theres a prize on the line in the tournament, maybe I'll try a little harder than 4th place >.>

However my schedule is very busy in Febuary. But we shall see.

Glad everybody had fun, I sure did! Thanks for coming down and bringing setups Kyle and Nike. It's taking a while to split up all the videos and synch with commentary but I will get the vids and results up by Tuesday. Btw, Kal commentating his own matches in grand finals is more than a little hilarious.

Hey guys. I've been playing Hylian lately and he's gotten quite a bit better. It sucks because I actually have to try in order to beat him.

Anyway, he might come to next week's tourney. If he does, expect the following results:

1st - Kal
2nd - Who cares?

More importantly, Hylian is the ****ing knowledge base of knowledge bases for this game. He's wrong sometimes ("Fox can totally jump out of his shine in Brawl"), but expect some good commentary from him. Better yet, he can give you solid character specific advice.

Just don't mention how bad Brawl is. He'll put you in a wrestling hold.

I would be happy with just a simply B+ crew battle first, get people exposed to the game in a friendly matter, not too competitive. Then we can think about a tourney. The high turnout at JCaesar's Pound 4 B+ tourney gives me hope... somewhat. The Texas smash community is so weak compared to the northeast I don't get too optimistic.

But you kinda need more people to hold a crew battle then a tourney, and there are only a handful of people that would participate in a Brawl+ event. And by handful I mean not much more than 5.

Kal mentioned it during our smash fest at his place. It's some form of Brawl where they tried to make all the characters balanced and did some really ridiculous ****, from what I understand anyways.

Balanced Brawl tries to balance characters out but still operates under the same physics engine as Brawl.

Just watched a vid of Brawl minus Link. His throws and smashes are super buffed, spin attack has far more recovery range and more attack range (Link can recover out of Ganondorf's dair meteor), and he randomly shoots fire, ice and light arrows, just like in the Zelda games. And a fully charged arrow has insane knockback. And it seemed like his clawshot reaches farther.
oh yeah, and when the gale boomerang grabs someone, it has the effect of MK's tornado.

And Falcon Punch has flame hitboxes on the fire falcon HAHA
