No offence, but Nintendo has a very poor history when it comes to television adaptions of their series.Guys I honestly wouldn't worry about Illumination messing it up. Do you really think Nintendo wouldn't of lend the film rights to them in the first place. I'm sure of it they're gonna make sure they'll make the movie good.
Illumination’s philosophy is that they can create quality movies, at a low price. This is literally what the head of the company believes.
A deal with Illumination would have been at a low cost, and that film is going to gross hundreds of millions.
Nintendo saw an opportunity, and they took it.
