That's the beauty of it, dear. I made an equally stupid comparison to his comments on KH3. This was all to just see him squirm, and if he can't even stomach a tiny little roast, it proves him for the fool he really is.

Beyond that, Melee is something that I personally don't enjoy anymore. It's a fine game, but Ultimate's better in every way, if you ask me. I wouldn't go back to Melee if I tried.
I hate to be that person but could you not call everyone "dear" or "sweetie"? I know you don't mean anything bad by it but some people just don't like being called that by random people, you know?

Ganondorf (not brainlet Ganon without the dorf)

moral ambiguity

making the plot unnecessarily dumb or complicated

read 2

read 2 (or steel ball run for a good example of morally ambiguous villains)

1. GLaDOS. But Bowser is a close second.

2. It depends. If the villain is more goofy like Bowser, simply being funny and likable is enough for me. If the villain is threatening like GLaDOS, I like the intimidating presence. I like how she could kill you on the spot, but she needs you. So she talks trash instead.

3. Being boring. No one likes the a villain who's just evil so the plot can move along. Even if the villain is a force of nature instead of a character, do something interesting with it.

4. I value comedy above most things. If you can make me laugh, you're good in my book. GLaDOS and Bowser are both funny, even though they're very different types of villains.

Dang, I forgot about GLaDOS. Easily my favorite villian.

1. Kefka Palazzo and GLaDOS
2. When you can understand their actions, not agree with but understand.
3. When they have no clear motive.
4. Villains that compliment the heroes and challenge an aspect of them.
5. Villains who have a bit of pizazz and showmanship in their actions.

1. Ganondorf/Hades

2. When they actually prove to be a villain (i.e. destroys the things around them, etc.), and stick with it.

3. When the focus of that villain doesn't remain, and strays off too much. And if they just end up being too boring to either fight or watch.

4. Obviously, the ones that pose a challenge, and give you difficulty, as that's how it's supposed to be, to me.

5. I'm not often a fan of the types of villains who just switch sides like crazy (i.e. bad to good to bad to whatever) for whatever reason, but I think you get what I mean.

if you use dude as a male-exclusive term then that means you legitimately use and say dudette

and nobody wants to say dudette

i use dude as a unisex term
So are "dear" and "sweetie" but apparently some people aren't comfortable with those, so you should respect my wishes to not be called what makes me uncomfortable.

There's no need to get defensive about it.
I'm not being defensive. Ever since I started transitioning, I've asked people to stop calling me "dude" and "bro" and you know what? No one's stopped. So I just have to deal with it.

I personally think using a term to address someone, provided the term isn't spoken with malice, is a sign of respect. But I guess I'll just not bother anymore.

1. Hades from Kid Icarus Uprising

2. Give them charm, give them personality, give them a clear identity

3. No one likes a villain with no personality or character... They're boring.

4. The morally gray ones... It gives a different perspective, compared to most villains
Probably the one thing this movie got right, was making Ben definitely not good, but not all the way evil... Imo, it kind of saved the movie for me

5. Dear Disney, I love you and all, but please, stop putting the twist villains trope into every one of your recent films... There's nothing wrong with saying who's the villain in the beginning...

1. Bowser (Ridley is a close 2nd).

2. Personality. The personality can vary depending on the atmosphere of the game. You could have a menacing, intimidating villain in a darker game or you can have a funny, non-serious villain in the same game to provide some contrast.

3. One that either has unjustified or unexplainable motives. If you can't explain why a villain is doing what they're doing, that's not good. Even if you have a villain that's doing something for the sake of being evil, that's better than having a villain with a complex, nonsensical plan.

Inexplicable changes in a villain's motives or personality are a big no-no as well.

4. Don't have a specific preference. As long as it the archetype fits, or purposely doesn't fit, the atmosphere of the game.

5. Twist villains can be annoying unless they are set up in a way no one would expect. The twist still has to make sense though.

The tragic villain can also be difficult to execute unless you get the audience to sympathize w/ the villain at some point before or during the tragedy.

That's honestly fine if you don't want to be called that but just know that "sweetie" "dear" and the like are often used affectionately which can be uncomfortable to some people. No hard feelings.

I guess I should also share mine, since I asked in the first place.

1. Bowser (Super Mario Bros.) / Ganondorf (The Legend of Zelda) / Dr.Wily (Mega Man) / Dr.Weil (Mega Man Zero) / Hades (Kid Icarus: Uprising)

2. I like it when a villain is efficient and straight to the point. Seeing a villain accomplish part of their plans makes them feel more intimidating to me.

3. I dislike villains who have the perfect opportunity to accomplish their goals, but don't, because of some really dumb reason.

4. I like the both the goofy type and the intimidating type. Goofy villains on a dark scenario are great when done correctly, they lighten up the mood and make the experience more interesting. Intimidating villains are my favorite, I love it when a villain feels like an actual villain. They aren't fooling around, they know that they could destroy the hero whenever they want, but they let them go, knowing that they could do so whenever they want. Knowing that you could easily be defeated at any moment makes these types of villain really enjoyable.

5. I want to see villains ascending to power. Just having villains be all powerful from the very beginning is boring. I want to know how they got that powerful and see how deadly they can actually be. I want to see both the villain and the hero growing stronger.

Difference is that "dear" and "sweetie" can come off as condescending. It's what you use with children after all. If a person isn't several years my elder, I'd be insulted if they called me that.

"Dude" and "bro" at least come off as if both participants are on equal footing.

You have your right to not be called things. I was just trying to clarify something.

He isn't not respecting your wishes. He is simply stating this thought on the matter. Also, not everyone is going to know you don't want to be called that. In society dude is usually considered gender neutral, while sweetie and dear aren't. It can be used when you have a love interest for someone, as well. If your talking to your kid or something, that's a bit different.

Well, if I'm using them as general conversation terms than clearly I'm not using them in an affectionate way.

I have my own terms for dealing with my partner. I don't use those words like that. It's how I talk, and frankly, it's how I've always liked talking. I just didn't use it because I was afraid of it sounding "gay."

Well, I finally had accepted it as a part of my transformation, but whatever.
