To be fair he's criticizing the game mechanics too. I doubt purchasing another game for $40 is going to fix those issues he has with the combat system.
oh no yeah I understand that, Sora floats like he has invisable wings pff, Cant deny that

Buuuuutt you dont need to call the fans that played the spinoffs dumb

I think one of the reasons that is always brought up, the whole "why play the spinoffs" is that no matter what, there will be people jumping into this for the first time and this will be their first Kingdom Hearts. It's kind of inevitable, all series go through that.

People will play Smash Ultimate instead of Brawl or Melee, people will play Xenoblade 2 instead of the Wii original, Valkyria Chronicles 4 instead of the original, it comes par with the course. Now while yeah, it is a case-by-case basis with how said franchise handles their sequels, it's still inevitable that new release will garner new people regardless, so I do see where both sides are coming from.
Well smash doesnt have a continuing story, dunno bout XC or VC

Thats like the anology I used before, jumping into Half blooded prince book and being confused about half the HP cast

Honestly I don't even care that she was op because Bayo is great and I love her

I'm glad she's not gonna murder the meta this time around though
I won many Bayonetta players in Smash 4, so I didn’t care that much.

IMO the only KH game that's actually hard is KH1 and certain bosses in KH2. Dream Drop was only hard because the camera was awful on 3DS and weird difficulty spikes.

IDK why everyone throws a fit about difficulty in games nowadays. If you want ultra difficult games, why not go play a game that's designed around that mindset? Kirby deals with this kind of nonsense all the time and I never get it. Not every game is designed to be Kaizo Mario, nor should they be.
Because KH is a game that's not just for extremely casual players and offers a ton for players that want to get the most from its combat systems. That's the entire reason things like EXP Zero, optional superbosses, and variable difficulties exist.

When the combat is simplified and the difficulties range from easy, easier, and easiest, you alienate a large amount of your playerbase. It's like saying "eeeh, Smash was never about difficulty, I dunno why everyone just doesn't pick a different game than criticize Brawl for its flaws!"

Why get mad at Leffen for his opinions on Kingdom Hearts when you can get mad at Leffen over his opinions on Castle Siege's legality?

Nah, not really. You're just saying that.
I don’t know.
Based on your posts, you seem like a cool and kind person for me.

I can say that there are times where we bash ourselves too much from time to time.
You may think for a moment that you are doing awful, but in reality things may actually be going better than you think.

It is nice to accept your fails or mistakes... But it is also good to consider the good stuff you have.

here's my thoughts on leffen:
complete asshole
but good at vidya and is kind of a people's hero in the melee scene

overall balances out i guess he never really personally attacked anyone iirc except for salem and hbox a while ago and he did get banned from tournaments for the things he said a long time back

i'm pretty sure he's still a douche but not as big of a douche anymore

Because most people here can't even agree on playing competitively much less on stage viability.

All I said was that someone who still plays Melee shouldn't call others "blinded by nostalgia." He's an A-class hypocrite.
I gotta say that your answer was fantastic.
He probably got triggered, because you did a fine reply.

But that's a really ignorant comment to make.

It falsely equates a still alive competitive game people spend years of their life improving and competing on with just liking a game from their childhood a lot.

Not to mention the fact that, you know, Leffen is also a competitive Ultimate player...

Tbf, you could say that KH fans have spent years of their life improving with the games in the series to attempt to beat them faster each time they pick it (mostly the fans invested in speed-running).

With the Crash or Metroid games, I always try to beat each one faster than my last playthroughs to improve on them and know the games better.

That's the beauty of it, dear. I made an equally stupid comparison to his comments on KH3. This was all to just see him squirm, and if he can't even stomach a tiny little roast, it proves him for the fool he really is.

Beyond that, Melee is something that I personally don't enjoy anymore. It's a fine game, but Ultimate's better in every way, if you ask me. I wouldn't go back to Melee if I tried.

EXP Zero still exists in KH3, though. Not to mention there are ways to make a game harder on oneself if one so chooses to.

It could also be that an individual's skill level has progressed past the series intended audience and no longer holds one's interest. That doesn't make something objectively bad, it just means that the individual has either outgrown it, or in some cases may have never really cared for it in the first place (moreso if this is the first game in the series they've played).

I can practically guarantee that blocking you meant nothing to him.
