It's a real Ability, Gluttony "encourages early use of Berries"

Basically, the Pokémon will use any HP restoring Berries at 50% HP or lower rather than the normal 25% HP or lower.

Barrage, Soft-Boiled, Shell Smash

There's also a Pokémon move that allows the Pokémon to steal a Berry from the target, Pluck.

Descriptions for non-Pokémon fans.
Barrage: "Round objects are hurled at the target to strike two to five times in a row."
Soft-Boiled: "The user restores its own HP by up to half of its max HP."
Shell Smash: "The user breaks its shell, which lowers Defense and Sp. Def stats but sharply raises its Attack, Sp. Atk, and Speed stats."
Pluck: "The user pecks the target. If the target is holding a Berry, the user eats it and gains its effect."
