I will say that even though i'm probably picking Scorbunny, I like all these guys. It took me a second to pick, which is a first. I usually know who i want right away.

I always go with the Grass Starter on my first playthrough of a Gen.

I also always pick the red game (or the "hot" one, in the case of Black/White).

Scorbunny is definitely the Rowlet of this Gen from what I've been seeing.

Grookey seems to be the least popular of them.

Every Pokemon generation has one starter that becomes insanely well loved, and another that becomes unpopular

Rowlet became the most popular of the Gen 7 starters, while Popplio ended up becoming the least popular one.

I don't wanna shill my starter but I think Scorbunny will be the most popular, at least of the first forms.

Galar is very clearly English-inspired. The balance between "idyllic countryside" and "industrial revolution to outright minor steampunk" makes that pretty clear to me. Add in Galar sounding like "gallant" and, you know, sword and shield, and you throw in some medieval England inspired stuff.

As a Lycanroc supporter, I'm okay with this.

Lucario has retained quite a lot of it popularity over the years so it makes sense that it shows up a lot. It's up there with the likes of Charizard, Pikachu, and Mewtwo in popularity.
Which kind of makes it funny to me when people act like one of the series most popular mons being featured for a couple seconds in a trailer is shoe-horning them in. Like the pokemon isn't popular or something people would want to see anyway

So, I pretty much love all the starters. If I had to pick a least favorite, it'd be Grookey (cause of the monkey beak lol) but not by much. Like how 9.9 is less than 10, but in general it's about the same lol
They're all adorable and I love them.

I thought Sword and Shield was appropriate all things considered, so I'll disagree with some people here on that

The game also looks exactly how I was wanting it to look... so... I'm very excited.
