I think what'd be really awesome is if Capcom pulled something from their monster hunter franchise:

But Galactus would also be amaaaaazing

Un-related topic, I currently don't have a Ps3 nor 360, but I'm definitely going to get one for MvC3, are there any good reasons to get one over the other? I'm not going to buy anything until March'sh so price shouldn't be that much of a factor, esp if I can snag one during Black Friday or holiday sales...

I'd suggest looking at what other games are on the systems that you'd be interested in picking up.

It hasn't been discussed before. They're toying with the idea on giving it an arcade release (which I doubt will happen, but who knows), but they haven't said anything on a PC port. I can't blame them on hesitating on porting it to PC considering piracy.

Well, I'll maintain that the PS3 controller is much better for fighters than the 360 one, plus it has MGS4 and Killzone 3 coming out. That being said, online's also free with it.

360 works well for me.
I play with LT/LB as assists, and then y is hard kick, x is light kick, b is hard punch, a is light punch.
I use the D-pad. RT/RB are excluded because I play without gripping the controller with my right hand, I just press the buttons with my middle and index finger.
Comboes work well, supers/specials are easy to do with this layout, and assists are more accesible because of the distributed button layout.

ps3 is good if your a broke **** like me who doesn't play online and wants it to play fighters only. conversely though, 360 has WAY better online. personally, i'd get a 360 and do a dual mod on your stick so you can play on both ps3 and 360.

Why would you doubt an arcade release of MvC3? o.0

like every fighting game hits the arcade, usually first

but if his 360 happens to Red ring he's gonna have to buy another 1.
ps3 would be better in the long run & if he happens to have a good fighting game scene then he wont need a ps3

What games other than Sf2 do they take seriously?
If they don't take extremely competetive games like smash seriously, what are we supposed to expect?

they take a TON of games seriously, but on the real, smash is played more than Marvel in JP. marvel gets no love out there.

I just think that the game is marketed towards the American audience. I don't think there will be an arcade release since it's not really geared towards the competitive scene in Japan. I could be wrong. It's just my opinion.

They take a lot of fighters seriously. As to why they don't take Marvel competitively like their other fighters, it could be the same reason as why the US doesn't take TvC that competitively. We play it, but we play other fighters more.
I guess they don't like the infintes.
They do. Go watch SBO vids of Fate/Unlimited Codes. lol

I'm probably wrong, but didn't the Japanese discover the ROM infinite?

Tbf taking a game seriously and taking it competitively can be two different things, they just don't do the latter because of the former because TvC, MvC, Rival Schools, Power Stone, Smash Bros, and other fighters really are just ridiculous.

AWESOME!

Now we can actually put some of these songs into Brawl for BRSTM formats and shtuff.

Dante's theme is awesome. I'm liking Spidey's theme too.

Captain America's theme WOULD be awesome but the sudden burst of techno after the beginning ruined it.

If Zero is in, I just wanna hear what song they'll give him. If it's the MMZ version, Departure plx.

Mega Man X version? His original X theme or X4 Opening Stage.

A la the TvC:UAS leak, someone went into the source code for the page and found extra boxes for characters each coded as a different character, and made this picture to accompany it to visualize a final roster on the website. The image got spread around but the initial story did not, so the picture is 100% fan-made but not the characters. After this got out, Capcom-Europe's MvC 3 page got shut down, and when reopened, the coding was removed.

Even if the entire thing is a hoax I wouldn't be too disappointed in this 42 character roster. If it's too small to see:

(left to right)
Spencer, Red Arremer, Arthur | Dormammu, Shuma-Gorath, Howard the Duck
Frank West, Albert Wesker, Chris Redfield | Hulk, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel
Zero, Tron Bonne, Mega Man | Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Venom
Mike Haggar, Chun-Li, Ryu | Wolverine, X-23, Deadpool
Strider Hiryu, C. Viper, M. Bison | Magneto, Storm, Thanos
Viewtiful Joe, Trish, Dante | Captain America, M.O.D.O.K., Iron-Man
Amaterasu, Felicia, Morrigan | Dr. Doom, Super-Skrull, Thor

She-Hulk is someone I wanted ever since Marvel Super Heroes. X-23 was not expected but not disappointing either. But really, also Spider-Woman? I doubt that. I know that they are all different, especially Spider-Woman and She-Hulk who became Marvel icons in their own rights, but I would be a little disappointed if over half of them were just the feminine version of characters. Despite if they all will play differently, have different personalities, etc., Unity and Eventhubs are going to scream clone well into the game's competitive scene :/

Howard the Duck I fully support. Quack-Fu gives so much potential for a moveset. :p

She-Hulk I can totally understand. X-23 is also perfectly fine given that we know that she is basically Cammy with adamantium. But Spider-Woman? Yeeech.

Thanos though will make me sooooo happy if he's actually in. Just give him the ability to air throw like he was unable to do in MvC2 and he's good to go.
