I was hoping we'd do singles first just as MLG does. People will be far too tired after crews and doubles to be able to compete well in singles, which is the main attraction to most tournaments.

Also, I think it'd be a good idea to save team and singles finals till the very end. It will make things run more smoothly.

For example, if we start with teams, we'll have at least 4 singles players stuck playing team finals while we hold up a singles bracket. If we hold off finals till the end, we can run a new tournament more quickly without having to stall brackets, and it would allow everyone to watch the grand finals without worrying about having to play a match from a different tourney.

So what do you say?

I agree. I was extremely tired by the end of the day and I didn't perform well in the bracket when pools had taken 5 hours. YEP. Sucked. So singles first. Doubles. Crews.

Well, I'll be driving down Friday arriving in LA around 5-6 PM.

I may be taking some smashers with me. However they can't stay with me where I'm going. (Either they're underage or I don't like them and don't want to expose my REAL friends to them.)

Basically I'd need someone to help me (and every NorCaler ever) by taking potential smashers off my hands from 5-6 to whenever the Norcal bunch gets down there. You don't have to house them overnight, just keep them occupied until the rest of the group gets there. Make sure they don't run off unattended.

The closer you live to the UCLA area the better.

This is strictly a precaution, though. Potentially I might take no one with me. However if I do this would be nice.

Keep them away from anyone named Alan.

That's the only excuse I can come up with because I really need the warm ups through teams to play my best in singles..hahaha. Wait a minute, i'm a Peach, I don't need to warm up. Singles first it is!

I’d prefer if you kept it the way it was. Doubles is good for warm ups and I never get any friendlies before the tourney starts so it helps me a lot.
