So I really wanna make a rankings for the tri-state. I'm looking for a couple of panelists to do it with me that will be representative of each smash scene. Someone from NYC, someone from philly, and someone from NJ. Also, its best if not everyone is isn't from the same crew.

Let me start by saying thank you to the panelists who helped me, you all did a great job.

As you can see, the list is really solid, packed full of terrific competitors. We used as many tournament results as we had available to us to resolve all conflicts between players who we felt were very close in skill level. Players 5-9 were probably the hardest of all to rank, with special attention looked at the results of Reno and Vanz. It should also be noted that Alukard and G$ were also an extremely close call. Both of these two examples were in the end decided by a vote of 3-2.

If you believe you should be higher, try to remember the talent of those ahead of you. If you are still unhappy, step up your game. No Johns.

All tournament results that we were able to gather for this period of rankings can be found in the first post of this thread.

tec0, its because of the kinds of events you entered that you are on this list. You entered three major regional tourneys: No Johns Circuit Event 1, Smaspocalypse VI Circuit Event 2, and Bullheaded Oynchomyns. If they had been three no johns bi-weeklies, you wouldn't have been unless you took like 1st in each one and defeated everyone good lol. But you def had a bunch of accomplishments in the three tourneys you entered.

Jfox should in no way be on a panel that ranks players in the tri-state area. There needs to be some rule where you have to see top 5 placing and at least money at more than maybe 1 tournament where there WAS actually people there. This is like having a ******** child grade IQ tests; You just don't do it. I fail to believe anyone actually takes what he says into consideration seeing as how he only really started playing a few months ago and all of a sudden he is a master at judging the caliber and habits of players.

If this is the case on how people rank players than **** this **** it is ****ing stupid. As NEO once said unless you're top 2 it doesn't really ****ing matter anyway, ESPECIALLY when tournaments consist of the same 30 odd players (IF THAT) that you play all the time.

I motion that I get put on this panel in place of JFOX because I know **** sure I know more about the people who play than he ever will. Not even trying to be mad **** about it, but you know this **** to be true, search your feelings *****.

Alejandro...not to be mean, but that was a bit of a prick move by you. JFox himself said he didn't feel he should be on the panel, first off. Secondly...well what Alukard said. Also....so you're telling me that Reno beat M2K, Jman, PC Chris, and Cactuar consistently or as you put it..."a good majority of the time"? <3 you bro, but seriously...the top 5 was easy, and the rest was a bit blurry. That was said already. It was also said that a lot of people in the top 10 are pretty much even in skill. Chill, bro. Being top 15 out of the TRI-STATE area is nothing to sneeze at.That means out of smashers in THREE STATES you're considered to be top 15 material. Reno is beast, and everyone knows it.

i agree with a lot of what you're saying (actually just about Reno's placement, JFox's role as overseer was integral to the discussion) but your facts are just wrong

jfox wasn't on the panel, he was just an overseer, he sort of told us (scar alukard hbk vanz) how to go about organizing the discussion, his input was seldom ever used

i disagree with reno's placement, i would have been happy putting him above me in all honesty and IMO he deserves it, but the majority of the panel voted him at 9th, so that's the way it goes

eggm deserves number 5, top 4 are solid, hbk me and reno are all in a 3 way tie so you really shouldnt have a problem with anything else
