I'm not gonna deal with this "i dont wanna be ranked business" cuz then everyone who isn't happy with their performance lately is gonna start doin it. If you don't like the drama, don't read it. If you think rankings are dumb, don't come into this thread.

Alright, guess I'm now the overseer and panelist of the tunes. It's a shame though, i think vanz is a smart guy, and would have been helpful to the group.

nahh.. it was just too much crap in general. i was put like 9th on everyone's list anyway including my own. so it wasn't the placement.

it was more of "there's too many tunes" or "i beat person x here and person x lost here" but no "person x has accomplished ____________" <_<

it becomes more catty than competitive. and i am, quite frankly, i'd just rather not be apart of. besides, if i go unranked, i'lll get more money matches.

I see your point, but leaving players unranked diminishes the validity of this list. At first it seems like no big deal cuz its just one person, but than Cactuar comes in and says he doesn't want to be on the list either. Than Jman comes and does the same. Before you know it, the whole top 10 is all wrong.

And honestly, who are u kidding by now, everyone knows the name vanz, with or without this list. If you want MMs, you just tell people your name is Jfox and you'll win tons of them. :)

jesus + cactus never said they didn't want to be ranked. they just said they don't care about them. it's clear people are hellbent on knocking me out of the panel so lets just leave it at that.

and technically, the validity of the list is already compromised because of the many **** players we have that won't be ranked because they don't enter enough events (i.e. spam, teco, swift) only tri-state knows me and i'd like to keep it that way, so just give the spot to someone who wants it.

lol I don't have a PM, and yeah Vanz you're getting ranked. Also I think that we should consult people i.e. Pakman/Vanz and basically everyone who doesn't mind giving their opinion but too many official panelists is difficult, it's hard to get 3 people to agree on a list, each extra person is just another headache.

But whatever you guys want, I'd be happy to have Vanz on the panel, I guess I just don't understand what an overseer is haha.

Scar, as overseer, I would be responsible for organizing the rankings. For example, I've already created a means with which we can now discuss these rankings in private. I would take part in finding results (as will other panelists) and I will also help decide who is considered tri-state. In addition, I would be involved in deciding who is too inactive to be ranked.

*However, I won't actually be involved in the actual discussion itself. That I would leave to you guys.

Vanz please let me know, cuz I still think you would make a good panelist.

**** I like that idea Pocky, sort of like a perk. And yeah that sounds really good Jay, I thought you were being in the discussion AND "overseeing" so yeah no that's a good setup. I rescind my previous disapproval.

if people can choose not to be ranked, then the whole rankings is pretty much invalid -_-

it'll just be a rankings of people who want to be ranked, instead of rankings of the best players

Vanz, I'm sorry, but regardless of what you want, you are going to be ranked. Its nothing personal, its just I can't allow people to choose whether they are on the list, its just a policy I have to uphold.

Now if you'd like to be a panelist, I will make it happen (and I want you). If you don't just cuz u dont wanna be ranked, I guess I'll have to find someone else :(

Yeah. I would be surprised if more than 2 people from the later lists DIDN'T go. Which doesn't bode well for the 11-15 's who are going. Not to mention the MD/VA and North East players who go.

anyway, from what i've been told, regional crews will be a 'formal' event... there will be time for 'regular' crew battles, but they will be treated as friendlies (and would happen on 'friendlies' day); that is to say, find whoever you want to play, put up a money amount (or do it for pride?), make up your own rules, and just play. No bracket/RR or anything -_-

I'm a really big fan of the NC catfish, so I might just do it. Lozr is probably one of the best lesser known players

Yeah LOZR is really good. He went to a few Chu Dat Biweeklies like forever ago (pre brawl) and like shocked MD/VA.

I def want to go.

I think we should look for a hotel or housing like 3/4 of the way there. Drive to the hotel on friday night. Get a decent night's sleep and only have to drive like a few hours on Saturday. Maybe MD/VA can house us?
